Margaret Thatcher

Ms Thatcher was born in 1925 in Lincolnshire.  She served as a member of Parliament from 1959-1970, as the Education Secretary from 1970-1974, as the leader of the opposition from 1975-1979, and as British Prime Minister from 1979-1990.  She was the longest serving Prime Minister of the 20th Century and the only female to hold that position.
