 Today In The History Of Polt's Comic Book Collection

Today we go back to the American Bicentennial, July 1976, and Marvel's The Invaders #7. 

This series was about Marvel's World War II era superhero team, The Invaders.  It's comprised of Captain America, The Human Torch and the Sub-Mariner. It also sometimes had Bucky (Cap's sidekick) and Toro (the Human Torch's sidekick), and Miss America and The Whizzer, among others.   I got all the issues I have in back issue bins, cause I didn't get them as they were published.  

it was a hit or miss series, the art by Frank Robbins was really not very good, but it seemed to suit the book.  most of it was written by Roy Thomas, who just five years later, was over at DC Comics and he started and wrote the much MUCH better All-Star Squadron.
