Check out this chart grouping the flags of the world by their predominant color, if they have a predominant color. 

I thought they were all flags of nations, but I don't have any idea what the purple ones are, and I see the EU flag there, which isn't a nation.  So I don't know what they all are, but I like the groupings anyway.
