She's the author the Vampire Chronicles and tales of the Wayfair Witches, among many others.

These books have spawned movies, TV shows, comic books and even a bit of theater...but the play didn't do well. She has received numerous awards for her work as well.
She also is the mother of another author Christopher Rice.
Anne Rice passed away in 2021 at the age of 80.
