Badass Birthday
Ninety eight years ago, in 1927, in Johnstown Pennsylvania, Steve Ditko was born.
You may not have heard of Steve Ditko, but you ABSOLUTELY have heard of some of his creations: Doctor Strange, Blue Beetle, Captain Atom and of course, your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man!
He was the artist that first drew all these characters, an many more over his career.
I've never been a fan of Ditko's, I find his work too...cartoonish perhaps? It's just no pleasing to my eye. But without his contributions to the comic book industry, it would look nothing like it does now.
Sadly, he passed back in 2018 and the age of 91.
