Anniversary Avengers
Today we have the second godly member of the Avengers: Hercules!
Just as Thor was the Thor of Norse mythology, Hercules is the Hercules from Greek mythology: son of Zeus, demigod, super-strong, too much ego. At a time when he was exiled from Olympus, Hercules teamed up with the Avengers in issue #38. After that, with nowhere else to go, he basically became a house guest of the team. And then, finally in issue #45, he was made an official member. He's been a member on and off since.
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he finally had a cameo in a post credit scene in the most recent Thor movie, and was played by Brett Goldstein.
