I was tired all day at work, and I dont know why.  I slept okay last night, didnt go to bed late, didn't get up really early.  It was pretty hectic at work, but not insanely busy or crazy or anything.  And I was yawning from early in the morning through the afternoon.

When I got home, I got online for a bit, but was almost falling asleep while doing so.  So I laid down on the sofa and played some Angry Birds on my phone.  But as I did so, I kept thinking, "If I lay here, I'm going to fall right asleep.  And then I'll have trouble getting to sleep tonight....not a good thing."

SO even though I didn't really feel like it, I got up, put on a jacket and my sneakers and went for a walk!  Mom had wanted me to look at some planters she had, so I made sure I went by her place and checked them out.  And as a reward for myself for taking the walk, I went by The Waynesburger, and got their chili and a burger, then came home and ate it.  Nom, nom, nom....

And then, I got a surprise email from an infrequent but always hot, fuckbuddy of mine, so he came over and we had a short, but still totally fulfilling, bedtimesexxyfun.

And now, despite being barely able to keep my eyes open when I got home, I'm wide awake and not a bit tired.  Course, I'm sure when my head hits the pillow, I'll have no problems going to sleep.

Today, I walked 2.55 miles in 39 minutes at a rate of 4.0 mph (or so the pedometer says, but I didn't walk that far.  When I looked at the map of my walk, it's got me walking back and forth across the streets instead of just right down them.  But still, I DID walk 39 minutes, so that's a good thing!)

And here's a map to illustrate my walk

Which I know means nothing to you if you don't know Waynesboro personally, but whatever.

This'll be like a mini-Bits-N-Pieces, I guess.  One other thing I did today that I forgot to mention below is that I addresses all my May cards and got them ready to mail.  And May is THE worst month for sending cards.  (I'm not counting the Christmas cards I send, cause they're a special case).  With birthdays, anniversaries and Mother's Day, for May this year, I bought 41 cards.  Yes, you read that right, Forty One!  My cousin is pregnant and due in June, and I told her she is NOT allowed to give birth prematurely in May because I am NOT buying another card for that month!  Nope, not doing it.

The kind of ironic thing about this is, come my birthday, I wont get 41 cards myself.  I'm not complaining or whining, I mean, it just me.  But with the ParisPekings, for example, I have 5 birthday cards and one anniversary card to get every year.  And they only have one to send to me (and they DO send one, every year).  Again, I'm not complaining, just pointing out the way things are.  And with my aunt & uncle, I have two birthdays and an anniversary, for a cousin I have four birthdays and an anniversary, and so on and so on.  And several people who I sent cards to for birthday's, I've never gotten a birthday card from.  But again, I am NOT complaining.  I dont send the cards in anticipation of getting one in return, I send the cards because I am a card sending fool and enjoying doing so.  Just saying, I'll send out more cards in one month than I'll receive all year (again, excluding Christmas cards).  But I enjoy it and am happy to do it.

I just dont need ANY other May celebrations.

-AND-

I have a Mama Polt story for you.  Friday, when I was at her house, she showed me this pot of spring flowers (tulips maybes, what do I know?) and said she got them for my garden out front.  She said we'd plant them along the wall at the back and they wouldnt get in the way of the other plants, and they'd come up each spring.  So I thought, cool good idea.  And there were some flower there with yellow and orange and red and PURPLE leaves, so it was all good.

So Saturday at work, she calls me, and she's laughing, so I knew it would be a story.  She said she went down to my house, got the pot of flowers and some tools out of the trunk of her car and planted them (and they look really good, by the way).  Then she reached into her right coat pocket and...her keys were not there.  She figured she locked them in the trunk.

So she put her tools on my backporch and walked home.  Luckily, this is only a three minute walk for me, so it wasn't that much longer for her.  She used the hidden key outside, got inside, got her spare set of keys, locked the  house up and started back towards my place.

About halfway there, she put her hands in her jacket pockets....and discovered the original car keys in the left pocket.  "I NEVER put my keys in my left pocket, I dont know how they go there!"  she said around laughs.  So then she went on to my house, unlocked the car (maybe twice, since she had two set of keys), loaded it up and drove home.  Laughing all the way.

Mama Polt....may she never run out of stories!

And since it's a mini-Bits-N-Pieces, how about a lil Obligatory Eye Candy?

SO yeah, I had my eye appointment today.  The doctor said my vision is basically the same and I wouldn't need new glasses.  She said my reading visions has gotten a little worse, which I knew, but my distance vision stayed the same.  And since I've been taking off my glasses to read for years, she said right now I can continue to do that.  Next year, if it continues to deteriorate, I may need new ones then.  On the plus side, she said no glaucoma, and she put the dilating drops in my eyes and after looking in them, said everything was good that way.  So it was good news all around.

Afterwards, I went to Hagerstown for a booty call, which went great as it always does with this particular guy.  And then I got some lunch to take and eat and home.  And after eating it, I threw some laundry in the washer.  Then I laid on the couch and watched some movie on TV whose title I've already forgotten.  And napped a bit while doing so.

And I dont intend on doing too much more tonight either.  It's raining outside so I'm sure I wont be taking a walk like I should.  But whatever, everyone's entitled to a day off every now and again, right?

World on my shoulders with my name on my shirt...

The shirts I wear to work are all the short-sleeved pullover cotton type.  Very comfy.  I have them in many colors: four shades of blue, two shades of purple, two red, two white, gray, black, I even have an orange one.  I don't have a pink one or a yellow one because, well even *I* am not THAT gay.

Some of them I've had for awhile, some I just recently bought.  But they're good shirts.  All except....for the green ones.  Over the years I have had three green shirts....

The first one had apparently the size mislabeled because from the time I first wore it, it was a little too small.  I mean I could have worn it, but it was clingy tight, and I dont like wearing this that are tight against my skin. I can have the appearance of ten pounds of meat shoved into a five pound bag if the clothes aren't right.

A few years later, I bought a second one, this one a lighter brighter color.  And this one also had a light blue dickey.  It just looked like I was wearing a green pullover shirt with a light blue t-shirt underneath.  But I only wore it like twice because upon reflecting, I determined that even *I* was not gay enough to wear it.  So I stopped.

And then just a few weeks ago, I bought another green shirt.  The first time I wore it, it was fine.  But now that I've washed it twice, I've noticed it's shrunk a bit.  The bottom doesn't seem as long as it was, it's been difficult today to keep it tucked in my jeans.  And I do NOT like it when my shirttail rides up out of my pants. I don't like it when ANYONE'S shirttail does that.  I don't need to see your plumber's crack, or your tramp stamp, or that small hairy patch of hair some men have right above their ass.  Don't want to see your shirt not tucked into or hanging down over your pants top.  Unless you are a hot, built, young black man with your pants sagging low and showing off your big, round, plump, tight underwear covered ass cheeks.  But I digress.....

So now i'm pretty sure I'm not going to be wearing that green shirt anymore.  And I'm even more sure I'm not going to be buying any more green shirts.

Unless of course I ever look like this in green:

And if I ever do, I'm wearing it ALL the time!

Bits-N-Pieces

Mom and I this morning did some work on the front garden.   We shoveled out all the little white stones that had been there since I was bought the place into buckets (well she did the shoveling) and I carried the buckets around back to my parking space and put them all there.  I had a guy put a bunch of stones down in the yard when I bought the place, but since that was over three years ago, the space needed a few more stones.  And now it has them.

Only problems is, now my shoulders are in pain..  And I just don't want to imagine how they'll be tomorrow when I wake up.  And mom said she was going to take a nap this afternoon cause it tired her out too.  Totally understandable.  But at least it's done now.  Next step, at some point the near future, is get some mulch and put the flowers down.
**************************
A few weeks ago, I got a notice from the Boro that I had to cut the tree that overhangs the alley so that all the limbs were 16 feet off the ground.  So mom has this pole that's like ten feet tall with a limb clipper on the end.  She brought that down in her car.  Then, later, she went back to her house to get a ten foot ladder to reach some other limbs.

So when we got everything done, we loaded the car back up...with the cutter thing going from the trunk, through the backseat and sticking out the front passenger's window, and the ladder sticking out the back of the trunk. She didn't want to make more than one trip.  I had to get a pic:

And that's the way she drove home.  Luckily, she lives less than a five minute drive away.
**************************
Nearly everytime I go out to the back for any reason (like to get into my car, take a walk, etc), I see quick movement.  It's a bunny who's living back there.  Today, I managed to get a photo of him:

This may be the same one that was there last year, cause he's bigger than the one last year.  But who knows?  As neighbors go, though, he's pretty quiet.
**************************
Here in Pennsylvania, we have elections every year.  This year, there are minor offices up for election, one of which is Tax Collector.  The man currently holding that job is retiring and not running again.  Among the people running in the primaries is Michael F.  I went to elementary and then againg high school with him.  Another person running is Kara G.  I went to middle school and high school with her.  So, if they both win the primaries in the fall, there may be two people I graduated with running for the same office.  Both of them have never run for office before, and honestly I would never have expected either of them to run ever for office.  Neither really seemed to be the politics type.  Nor did either one then seemed to be the type to be interested in politics.  I guess you never know.
**************************
And finally, the Obligatory Bits-N-Pieces Eye Candy!
