Rita Hayworth gave good face (Part 1)....

When one spends as much time trolling around on teh Interwebs as I do, one is bound to come upon a wide selection of photos. Some of these photos are of really cute guys and some guys that are beyond cute...some that are just simply pretty. Or even beautiful.

And so, in an effort to make the Palace more beautiful (God knows it needs it) I give you yet another semi-regular feature on the Palace:

Fetching Faces
And we'll begin with this beauty:

The eyes...the lips....the slight and soft chin hair...the hair almost falling down over his eyes....yeah, what's NOT to love?

I need to get a follow up....

Update in response to post below:

Bossy, Know-It-All Coworker was not at work today, so that made a good day.

Grandma's surgery was a bit delayed due to someone else's emergency surgery, but it's over now, she came through it okay, they got the tumor but won't know until they get the biopsy back what happens next, theye did NOT have to give her a colostomy (thank God), and before mom left the hospital, she was talking to grandma, who's biggest concern other than dizziness was that she wanted her teeth, even though she can't eat anything, cause she hates the way she looks without them. Worried about the nurses seeing your without your teeth? Yep. Worried about her surgery or her colon or her cancer? Eh, not so much. That's grandma.

Despite the torrents of rain, I managed to NOT get a soaked through canvas sneaker. And I have had some issues with water leaking in through a window in the basement, but this afternoon, there was nary a sign of it.

Kris called on a friend's phone to say his phone died, or something. not sure exactly WHEN that happened, but that might explain the no response to my text. Will find that out later. Still, just didn't feel like company tonight, so I told him that I came home alone. We'll see about getting together next week.

And on an unrelated note, Corey called me right after work. He said he missed me, and I told him I missed him too (which I do), and we talked for like a half hour or so. We plan on getting together tomorrow night after work, unless his girlfriend Chrissy is still in town by then, in which case he'll spend that time with her. Which is understandable.

Nonetheless, this whole fucking week has just fucking sucked so far. Blech.

Naw, they don't like that shit...

Things I don't like.

Misprounced words. I have a chronically high blood sugar level, therefore, I have diabetEES, I do NOT have diabetISS.

Pickles slices on fast food burgers. I always gotta take them off the McDonalds burgers I order, which means I get all the greasy condiments smeared all over my fingers. Like the pickle juice isn't bad enough.

Running out of Pepsi. How horrible is it to go to your fridge after a long, hot, sweaty walk expecting to find a cool refreshing soft drink there, and to be denied? Why can't I have a better memory when it comes to that.

My grandmother having a "grosssly malignant" cancer tumor in her colon and having to have surgery this afternoon. She's 87, how much can her body take?

Sending your boyfriend a text telling him your having a shitty day, but having him in your life makes you feel better, and telling him you love him....and not getting ANY reply whatsoever. Especially when his phone is like surgically attached to his hand like another appendage. And especially when he texts other people all the freakin' time.

Rain puddles when wearing canvas sneakers.

Bossy Know-It-All Coworkers.

Knowing there are chores to do (laundry, dishes, vacuum) and having no desire or motivation to do them, so they sit there, still needing done, mocking you.

The bye week for the Dallas Cowboys. Its like there's nothing I care to watch on that week, which would be coincidentally this Sunday. And it's also the first weekend of the month, which means Kris is off on his Army Reserve Manuevers, or whatever they're called, so he can't help with my boredom.

Accidently undertipping waiters that were simply awesome in their service. I'm gonna take some money back to the restaurant, apologize to the guy and give it to him.

A sale at the local comic book store the week after you damn near spent yourself out of house and home feeding your ravenous boyfriend and his roommmate.

Stink bugs.

Not having anything interesting to post about on your blog.

The recent exchange is just another face arranged...

As I have the list of all the past senders and recipients of the last four CD exchanges, and as I have access to a map of the USA via Google, I thought I'd make a map showing all the various ways the CDs have traveled!

Green is for CD Exchange 1.0, blue is for CD Exchange 2.0, red is for CD Exchange 3.0 and purple is for CD Exchange 4.0. And yeah, it was just as confusing to make, as it is to read.

All locations are approximate.

Bitch, please, you still waiting, i'm still hating you...

Bossy, Know-It-All Coworker (BKC) is at it again. She went whining to our superior telling him how mean I was being to her, how much of a bully I was and how much of a poor vulnerable victim is she.

Okay, well I doubt she actually used those words, but that's the end result. And our poor superior is caught in the middle of the whole thing. I agree, I'm doing some petty things, but their are in response to the petty shit she does first. And of course she never points out to anyone the fucking petty shit she does.

And we're both ebing childish, and yes I recognize that, but for fuck's sake, I've had to take this shit from her for 14 years and now and frankly, I'm fucking tired of it. And I'm not taking it anymore. And she can't stand that anybody's questioning her edicts.

Bitch.

When I got home from work, I was so wound up, I took a walk for an hour. A fast walk. And now my calves and back hurt (in addition to the neck pain, shoulder pain and thigh pain I've had after this weekend with Kris), but it's a good pain. One I earned. And I don't mind it. Much.

Whenever she retires, and it canNOT possibly come soon enough, it will be one of the top ten days of my entire existence. Possibly in the top five.

Are you ready for some football (Week 3)...

Because Dallas' two disappointing losses the first two weeks, I have not posted anything about this yet, but now I can.

I got three things that I want to happen each week. 1) The Dallas Cowboys to win, 2) The Washington Deadskins to lose, and 3) whichever team I picked the week in the winner's pool I want to win.

The first one is because Dallas is MY team, the second is because the Deadskins suck and not in a good way and I hate them and the third one is because if I end up winning it this year, I get $500!

And this week, Dallas won, the Deadskins lost, and since I picked New England, I'm still in the winner's pool. Yay, yay, and YAY!

In tha weekend, all you freak...

After work yesterday, I went to Kris' to pick him up. But I went in to his apartment cause a friend of his wanted to meet me. So I got to meet Kristin a different Corey, and talk some with Shay, who is actually pretty freakin' funny.

As we were driving back to my place, Kris suggested we go visit High Rock (it's an overlook and hang glider jump off spot near the top of a local mountain). It was an absolutely beautiful day, sunny, not hot, not humid, cool breeze, and nary a cloud in the sky.

I am afraid of heights, so as you can imagine, I wasn't going anywhere near the edge of the rocks, what with the drop off there. Kris says he does Parkour so he was all about jumping from rock to rock and over chasms and climbing trees. Me? I just stood there, my feet tingling and feeling somewhat queasy because of the heights. And the thought that one misplaced foot or handhold and he could have a broken ankle or cracked skull. Still, it was kinda exciting to watch him move about like that.

We even sat on some of the rocks (not near the edge) and talked for a bit, even kissing once or twice. Or thrice. When we left, we went to the grocery store cause we had already decided that I'd make him pasta instead of us going out to eat somewhere. So we got the three cheese tortilinnis, sauce, meatballs and garlic bread. And we stopped and got a bottle of Asti as well.

On the way home then, we stopped at Renfrew. We walked back through the trails through the woods, and actually made out a bit there. While climbing over a wooden fence, the rung gave way under Kris and he banged 'the boys' on a rung. It was painful for me to see as well. But he, and 'the boys' survived unscathed. We walked through the park a bit, holding hands at times. Then we returned to my house.

There was a little neckin' on the couch, then I prepared the pasta. And we ate it and drank the Asti, which he had never had, but he said he liked. Then we settled in the watch "Donnie Darko". I think we may have gotten through 30 minutes of it, because then we decided we'd rather enjoy some bedtimesexxy. And so we did, going upstairs about 9:00.

Finally, at midnight, when he had...expended himself (and I, by the way, was pretty damn exhausted), we went to sleep. And how awesome is it to sleep next to him? Yeah, pretty damn awesome. I had set the alarm for 8:30, but we actually woke up a little after 6:00 for some more bedtimesexxyfun. yeah, to be 20 again...*SIGH*. Then at 8:00 we decided to shower, get dressed and leave.

I took us through McDonalds for breakfast and then took him home. Today is a football day and I didn't want to subject him to another Sunday of football (like I did last weekend), so I took him home, although he and Tony are coming back tonight sometime. Tomorrow, the three of us, plus three of my friends, are going to start a new D&D game, and this way, Kris and Tony will already be here for the game (starting at noon).

All this is why my posting as been light, but I'm sure it's all understandable. And of course, I got photos!

This is the view from High Rock. A simply gorgeous day!

Even up there, Kris still had to take a call. Kids nowadays and their phones, it's like it's another appendage.

Some photos of Kris traversing the rocks at High Rock.

Chris checking out the view...while I checked out a view too.

Our dinner. Note, we even used the GOOD wine glasses that Michelle M. gave me for a housewarming gift! Only on special occasions do we use those.

Putzing around online.

An ass for DAYS! Seriously!

This one makes me giggle.

Love that smile. See it live and almost in person below.

A photo taken while he was singing to me.

Since I also brag about him singing to me, while we waited in the line at McDonalds, I tried to film him as he sang. It didn't work out that well.

And then, on the way to his place, he grabbed the camera and made a short film, supposedly of himself singing.

Well, even if it doesn't show up in the films, he can sing quite well and when he sings to me, it wouldn't really matter if he sang well or not. I'd love it regardless.
