Check this out, real quick, don't know if everybody know (Part 3526)...

 Check This Out!

Here's a pic of friend, and ex, Kris in an Avatar t-shirt I got for him.

Twelve years ago, when Kris and I were dating, he got me into Avatar: The Last Airbender.  So much so that I bought the entire series on DVD and have watched it at least twice all the way through, all three seasons.  So while wandering around online one time I saw that t-shirt and thought immediately of Kris.  Had to get it for him and send it to him as a surprise.  And he liked it as much as I did.

This Sunday past, first thing in the morning (like 8am) I got up.  Why would I do that on a Sunday morning?  Pfffft, bedtimesexxyfun, you fool.

So I got there, and the bedtimesexxyfun commenced.  Afterwards, I returned home and had a normal Sunday: showered, lunch with mom, read the newspaper, did laundry, etc.  Then, about 730, Derick called and said he was going to the grocery store.  I needed some stuff, so I was like sure.  He came here and we did some making out, but did not actually have bedtimesexxyfun (he had limited time).  And then we got our groceries and he dropped me off back here.

Tuesday, after work, after my monthly cut-n-color, and after much planning, I picked up Kris.  Yes, THAT Kris.  We had issues with our schedules conflicting, and had been trying for month, but finally got everything coordinated.  We had a meal at TGIFridays (their Jack Daniels steak is SO tasty!), and we talked.  I was a bit concerned beforehand because I thought, what if there's awkward silences?  What if we have nothing to talk about?  I mean, last April, I saw him for about a half hour, the summer of 2015, we went to see Ant-Man, and I can't recall the last time before that that we really spent any time together.

But it was not an issue.  We were talking like no time had passed since the last time we talked.  He commented on this as well.  And it was a lot of fun.  Afterwards, I took him to the Cricket store so he could get more minutes on his phone.  And then we drove a bit chatting.  And holding hands part of the way.  And twice, we kissed.  And damn, that boy can still kiss just like I remembered he could.  But I dropped him off at his place, and that's where we left it.  For now.  We both said we wanted to hang out again sometime.  Hopefully we will.

Then, Friday after work, I drove to near Shippensburg.  What would make me drive all the way there?  Pfffft, haven;t you been paying attention at all?  It's for some nookie!  geez, stay with me here.

I met the guy through Craigslist, and we chatted a bit over a few days and then decided to get together on Friday.  His ad said he was looking for guys older than him, bigger than him, who liked their nipple sucked, among other things.  Well, I'm older than him, bigger than him, and I like my nipples sucked, among other things, so yeah. And DAMN, was it some seriously amazing bedtimesexxyfun!  He's 25, 5'5, 130, of Cuban descent, cute as all get-out, and we shall call him, for the time being F.   And it was just an an incredible amount of fun, for both of us, I think.  We exchanged numbers and when I got home, I had a text from him, which I of course replied to.  So we'll see what develops here.

So, to summarize, this week, I had sloppy kisses with four guys, sex with two, reconnected with and old 'friend' and made an entire new 'friend'.  A very good week, all in all.

Someone book me a room (Part 298)...

Chapter 10, Page 24...

Saturday, I got to work and got most of the necessary, weekly things, completed before lunch.  The afternoon was pretty much a bust.  I did a few things, but spent more time doing nothing really important.

(Oh, and I forgot to mention yesterday, Friday morning first thing at work, I got my flu shot.  No pain, no fly symptoms.  That's good.)

After work, I went to Kris's place.  He had gotten a group of six of us that all want to play some D&D.  So we were meeting at his place to get together, figure out what we want to play, maybe just start on things.

When I got there, Kris and his roommate were there.  His roommate, though, had to leave to get to work at 5:00.  So that left 5 of us to get together.  And then he got a text from one of the others, saying two of them, who are in a band together, had their rehearsal day changed from Sunday to Saturday and they wouldn't be able to make it.  Well, since there was only going to be three of us there, we decided just to postpone it to another time.

To save his roommate having to pay for a cab, I offered to drive him to work.  And after doing so, Kris and I decided to get something to eat, so we went and had Mexican.  Yummy!  He was going to work at 900, and he wanted to get a little sleep beforehand, so I just dropped him off at his place.

I then came home.  I hung out here, on the computer, reading some, watching TV.  After watching Doctor Who, I turned everything off and went to bed.

I have been reading my current book since the 13th.  It is an interesting book, but a bit too detailed.  It's about Victorian London, and while it's interesting to know the dimensions of the various types of cabs they had in service then, I really don't need quite as much detail as was in the book.  It was almost like a textbook.  After 11 days and only getting about a third of the way through, and not seeing any light at the end of the tunnel, I just gave up on it and chose another book to start.  And that's what I read in bed before turning off the light and going to sleep.

Someone book me a room (Part 213)...

Chapter 7, Page 31...

This morning, I managed to get to work again early.  Not really sure why, cause my ass ended up dragging five feet behind me the whole day.  I got done the things I needed to, but really wasn't feeling it at all.  And was yawning quite a bit as well.  I was one tired puppy.

When work was over, though, I drove over to Kris'.  We got the coffee table legs on and the coffee table those legs in like 5 minutes.  He and I talked for a few minutes about his upcoming trip to California, and, of all things, shoes.  As I left, I got a big hug, a thank you, and a few kisses...the last of which made the whole thing worthwhile.

I then drove to mom's house, where we exchanged car keys.  I sat there at her place and talked with her for about a half hour.  She mentioned wanting a cheese steak, I told her I could check the Waynesburger menu.  I found out they did indeed have cheese steaks, and then I suggested we go there for supper.

I came home, changed my clothes and watered the garden out front.  She went to the bathroom, put her car in her garage, and then called me.  I then left my house.  We both walked towards Waynesburger, meeting about halfway there, and then walked the rest of the way together.

It was warm, but not as hot as it had been earlier in the week.  Nor as humid.  Had I known it wouldn't be so hot, I would have worn sneakers, not sandals, and brought my earbuds and taken a walk after we were done eating.

As it was, mom and I got to Waynesburger, she got her cheese steak, I got a burger and fries, and we ate them there and enjoyed them.  Then, since it was Friday night, we decided to walk along main street for a bit and see what kind of music they would be having downtown.  And we walked Main Street down to the Square and then up the street to mom's house. It was a pleasant, albeit slow, walk.  And after getting her home, I proceeded to here.

I got online for a bit, and then watched some TV while I was online as well.  After a bit, I went to bed, read some and then to sleep.

Someone book me a room (Part 210)...

Chapter 7, Page 28...

Let me just say first off, I HATE this kind of muggy hot weather.  BLECH!

I've been sleeping with the a/c on (well in fact LIVING with the a/c on).  When I woke up Tuesday morning, I had a scratchy throat.  I dont know if it was from the a/c, allergies, or if I'm getting a summer cold.  Over the day, I figured it wasn't the first, because I felt congested and had a slight headache, so it's probably one of the latter two.  Lovely.

Anyway, I got to work without issue.  And work was kinda busy.  I put off a few things until Wednesday, but I still got some stuff done. Gotta prioritize dontcha know?  They were having lasagna and garlic bread for lunch and work, and I wasn't feeling it, nor the carbs it entailed, so instead I went out.  To Panera.  I had the You Pick Two: a chicken Caeser salad (totes healthy) and half a ham and swiss sandwich (not as healthy).  But they certainly were both VERY tasty!

After work, with mom's help, I had two things to accomplish: getting my new coffee table home, and getting my car to the mechanic to he could change my oil Wednesday.  Here was the plan:

Mom would take her car to her brother's house and leave it there while she drove his pickup to her place (this is, by the way, the ONLY thing she could remember.  So she gave up trying to remember the rest of it and just focused on this one thing).  Then, when I got home from work, and changed my clothes, I'd call her.  Then we'd both drive to the mechanic's.  I'd leave my car there, get in the pickup with her, and off we'd go to get the coffee table.  Once we had it, we'd bring it back to my place, get it inside and set up and then we'd take the pickup to fill up the gas tank.  Then back to my uncle's to drop the pickup off and then get mom's car and come home.  And that's what we did.

Well, except for a detour to the Chinese buffet for supper.  Then she dropped me off here and went home.  I hung out and was online for a bit and watched a little tv.  I texted Kris to see if he wanted my old coffee table, which he did.  Now, Thursday night, I have to get the legs off of it, switch cars with mom (cause it'll fit in hers, with the backseat down but not mine at all) and get it loaded into her car.  I'll take it to work, and since Kris lives in the same town as I work in, and to save myself a useless trip back to my town here, after work, I'll drive to his place and unload it.

But I was pretty tired, after not having slept the best the night before.  So I went up to bed before 9PM.  Didn't go to sleep right away, of course.  I read some and was on my phone a bit.  And then I turned out the light and went to sleep.

Come to the table and savor the sight....

Back in 1997, when I moved into my own first apartment, I got a coffee table at Wal-Mart.  It was a put it together yourself kinda deal.  I have no idea how much it cost anymore, but I'm sure it was under $100.

That coffee table has been with me through 12 years at the apartment, and nearly 6 years here at the house.  It's still a good table, although it's a smidge wobbley, and the legs are in constant need of tightening.

I decided it was time to get a new one.

Mom told me about a furniture store going out of business, so we went there, but they didn't have anything I liked, or actually cheap prices.  So we went to Dentler Brother's Furniture, the place I got my sofa.   I found one, but wasn't sure  After I looked at it a bit and thought about it (it's a smidge taller and a smidge less in length than I have now) I just said, "Let's DO it!  I'll take it."  And so I paid for it.  We had to go today to get it, with my uncle's truck.  And we did.  And I remembered to get pictures!

The old one.  Looks pretty good for being 18 years old, eh?

The new one.  The four panels are some kinda stone, and are removable (that made it MUCH easier to carry.  Those panels are freakin heavy!)

And the side by side comparison.

Eighteen years....quite a long time to have a piece of furniture, especially Wal-Mart furniture.  Oh the stories that table could tell!

Anyway, he's going to a good home.  I checked with Kris if he had a coffee table, and if not, did he want one, because I had gotten a new one.  And his response was, "Hell YEAH, I'll take your old one!"  So he'll be one his way there.  I kinda doubt he'll be around for another 18 years, but I'm sure Kris and his housemates will get good use out of him.

Someone book me a room (Part 201)...

Chapter 7, Page 19...

Sunday morning, I woke up in a cool, almost cold, bedroom.  God I love a/c.  Especially when it's supposed to get into the mid-90s, with heat index over 100.

I logged onto the computer, and it worked, despite the troubles I had the night before.  I checked online about this "checking cache" little message I was getting.  It was said this was an issue Chrome, and apparently ONLY Chrome, had with Shockwave.  When I play Farmville (yes I STILL play it....dont judge me), sometimes Shockwave crashes.  And it showed how to clear your Google Cache.  Which I did.  That's supposed to be the solution.  So I'll just frequently clear it and hope that fixes the problem.

Anyway, I went to Rutters for breakfast and coffee.  When I got home, I ate it, read the paper, read the new book some, and just putzed around wasting time.  Eventually, I showered, dressed and headed out.

Kris and I had made plans to see Ant-Man this day.  I already had the tickets ordered.  I got to his house, his sister and two nephews were leaving.  They were so cute.  They were like 6 and 3 years old.  Young kids are cute and funny, and these two were no exceptions.  After they left, Kris and I headed out to the theater.

Love the Leitersburg Cinema!  The comfy, stuffed, reclining seats.  The free refills on the popcorn and soda (and since I got the tickets, Kris paid for the popcorn and drinks, the popcorn and drink that was my lunch for the day).  And then we settled in to await the film's beginning.

The movie?  It was...FUN!  Yes, it was funny, yes there plenty of action, and yes, there were some great superhero action scenes.  But overall, what Ant-Man was, was simply FUN!  And that's the EXACT reason why I will NOT be seeing that piece of shit Batman/Superman movie next year.  There was nothing FUN about Man Of Steel, there will be NOTHING fun about that movie either.

Anyway, after the movie, I took him home because he had to get ready and then get to work.  I just came home and hung out.  After a bit, mom came down to get the newspaper, and we talked a little bit, mostly about her upcoming move.  I then made pork chops for supper, read some and then settled in the watch the remainder of the extended version of the Fellowship Of The Ring, although I didn't get all the way through it (it's a LONG freakin movie!).

And then, I went up to bed, read a bit and went to sleep.

Someone book me a room (Part 132)...

Chapter 5, Page 13...

Wednesday, because I went to sleep later, I did NOT want to get up in the morning.  But get up, and to work, I did.  And it went rather well, got completed the things that needed to be completed.  Food wasn't ready in the cafeteria when I went back for it, so I decided to just go out and get something.  And as I was leaving, a co-worker was going out to get something to eat too (a co-worker I like and am friends with) and so together, we went to Panera. Had a lovely lunch.

After work, I came home for a bit.  I had a few slices of ham and some chips.  And I got some chips stuck between my teeth.  Between a tooth that has a filling in it and a crown, actually.  I got one of those plastic toothpick/dental floss thingees (see below) to get it out.

I was using the floss part of it and....got it stuck.  I could NOT get the floss back out from between my teeth!  I could move it around, but not get it out.  Whether it was stuck under the crown or the filling, I don't know, but it wasn't coming out.  And I didn't want to just YANK it out, because about 15 years ago, I had done that with floss, and yanked an actual tooth out, partway.  A tooth that I've since had to have pulled.

So, what to do.  I got some scissors and tried to cut the floss part.  Let me ask you, have you EVER tried to cut a small piece of floss while it's stuck in between your two back teeth?  Without cutting your lip or tongue?  Yeah, me neither.  And I had no success with it.  So after trying several times, I just wiggled it around and pulled on it a bit more and it popped out!

Unfortunately, when I put my tongue back there, something was...wiggling.  The crown or the filling, I don't know.  But as soon as I wiggled it, I bit down very hard the push whatever it was back in place.  And after that, it's not wiggling, and I can't tell which was loose.  But it's not anymore.  *SIGH*...my teeth.  I think I'm going to call the dentist and set up an appointment anyway just to have him look at it so see if something needs done, before I have an emergency.

So after THAT debacle, I headed out.  I picked up Kris (yay) and we went to the movies to see The Avengers: Age Of Ultron.  We had both already seen it, but wanted to see it again.  He paid for my way in ("You've paid for a lot of things over the years, it's my turn").  With our VIP ticket, we each got a free bag of small popcorn, with free refills.  I bought us both sodas, and him some candy.  We had to wait to get in the theater, and waiting there was another lone guy.  We chatting a bit, and then they opened the theater up.

In VIP, everyone has assigned seating.  It just turns out that they had put HIS seat right next to ours!  So it was kind of like the three of us were there to watch the movie together.  The movie, even on second viewing, is still pretty damn awesome.  This time, there were a few more things I noticed that were kind of...glitches.  But I was so INTO the movie itself, I didn't care!  I'm planning on doing a better review later on.

After the movie, I took him home.  And while we were parked out back we chatted a bit and ended the night with some kisses.  And damn, he is still the amazing kisser he always was.  So after this, I went home myself, went to bed, read a bit and then went to sleep before 11:30.

Someone book me a room (Part 109)...

Chapter 4, Page 20...

I did not sleep well Sunday night into Monday morning.  Didn't get a whole lot of sleep, and what sleep I did was restless.  Don't know why, nothing particular on my mind.  This just happens every so often.

I was actually awake and out of bed by 8, I believe.  I walked to Rutters for coffee and breakfast, came home and ate it while reading the paper, and then I putzed around online.  Then it was time to get moving.

I showered, threw a load of clothes in the washer, and headed out for my errands.  These including going to Post Office, to get proper postage on the Passport envelope (since it has within it my Passport and is a little heavier than for a regular stamp), to the Credit Union, to deposit the $39 dollars in coins I had rolled up the day before, and then to the Hallmark Store.  May is THE worst month of the year for me for cards.  It seems damn near everyone was either born in May, or got married in May, or married someone who was born in May!  I ended up getting 17 cards!  And it was only when I got home that I realized I had forgotten to get any Mother's Day cards!!!! So I'll have to make a trip back at somepoint soon.  I used the Hallmark Club Card, so each month I get a coupon of some sort in the mail, and I had one to use that gave me $8 off my entire purchase, which helped quite a bit.

Following this, I headed to Hagerstown.  My car was under a 4th of a tank of gas, and I had a grocery store club card with points on it that would allow me to get 20 cents off each gallon of gas.  So there I went, filled up, and then actually bought a few things inside.  After this, I went to Taco Bell (dont judge me), got take out, brought it home and ate it.  Before starting the meal, I put the groceries away and switched the laundry from the washer to the dryer.

Then I sat around, putzed around online some more and read quite a bit.  I took a short (half hour) nap.  I went to mom's to carry down to the garage her ladder.  She was still sick, but feeling better.  And after this, I was off for Hagerstown again.

Kris and I had been trying to get together for a movie/dinner/seeing his house since, I think February, but various things kept stopping up: snow, he was sick, I was sick, he got called into work, etc, etc.  Well tonight, finally, it was happening.

I got to his house, he showed me around.  Instead of a movie and dinner as we had mentioned, I asked about just dinner.  Cause there ARE no movies out there I want to see right now, and I wanted to get to bed a little early due to my problems with sleeping last night.  He was fine with that.

So we ate at the Texas Roadhouse.  I had a delicious steak, a salad, and, despite there being amazing steak fries served there, I had the mixed veggies.  Broccoli and carrots.  Bleh.  But it's much healthier.  And then I dropped him off at his place and came home.

I think we both had a good time.  I think it's been since, late 2012 or early 2013 since we've seen each other.  But we had no problem talking like the old friends we are.  When I first saw him, we had a big hello hug.  As we were saying good bye in the car, I asked for a hug, which I got.  And as he came in for the hug, he said, "And I'm gonna give you a kiss because you're adorable."  And he kissed my cheek.  I would have preferred it to be on the lips, and much more than just that, but by the time I heard him say it, he was already kissing my cheek.  And I at least remembered to say he was adorable too.  Which he is.

So hopefully he and I can hang out a little more often.  Whether it's just hanging out, or bedtimesexxyfun, either way, I'm okay with it (although it should be OBVIOUS which I'd prefer).  I enjoying hanging out with him cause he's fun.  And I have a fun time with him.

So after getting home, I putzed around online again for a short bit and then went to bed.

Someone book me a room (Part 42)...

Chapter 2, Page 11...

As I said, I haven't been feeling 'right' since the weekend, and this morning, when I woke up, I still was feeling that way.  And I didn't feel like getting up or going to work, so I called in and took a personal day.  Then I went back to sleep, not getting out of bed until 10:30 or so, feeling still not 'right', but a bit moreso than before.

After work, I was supposed to go to Kris' house and get a tour of his house and hang out and stuff.  But as I wasn't going to work, I texted him and told him I wasn't going to be able to make it again.  That's a change of plans for my visit three freakin' times!  I felt a lil bit relieved when he told me HE was really feeling sick too. I felt bad that he felt sick, but, as I said, relieved, in that even if I wasn't feeling 'off' we still probably wouldn't have been able to hang out.

I spent the rest of the day on the couch watching Enterprise.  Didn't even shower.  Did no chores.  Just watching TV, putzed on the computer, and ate.  But in the evening, like 6:45ish, for some reason, I decided I need to do SOMETHING instead of just sit around...so I got on the treadmill for half an hour.  I read for half the time I walked on it, and then just played music for the other half.  Sadly, that's the first time this year, I used it.  And then after that, more TV and then off to bed.

Someone book me a room (Part 27)...

Chapter 1, Page 27...

Got to work after shoveling off the sidewalk and the car (it didn't take long, was less than an inch of snow) and going to Rutters for coffee (this is becoming a regular everyday thing now).   Work itse;f went rather well.  I had several things to do, didn't get them all done, though, because of idiot clients and obnoxious coworkers.  Normally, neither of those things bother me, and I guess they didn't really BOTHER me today either, but they were....annoyances.

After work, as planned, I stopped by Derick's for a lil sumthin, sumthin.  And then, after hitting a grocery store, I returned home.  Had burgers (sans buns) for supper, with pickes, mac salad and some chips.  Not the best carb wise, but damn did it taste good.

Kris and I (yes THAT Kris) have been chatting on Facebook and texting a bit recently.  I texted him about plans we had to Wednesday, but after discussing it, we put them off until Monday after my Doctor's appointment.  Not sure what we're gonna do. I know he's gonna show me the new house he's in.  And other than that....no idea.

I'm glad to be keeping in touch with him, but I'm a bit worried.  I'm not sure I'm over him.  Not sure I ever will be.  I mean, I think he's the one ex i have that should he call me tomorrow and ask to get back together, I'd go in a heartbeat.  And I think I might do that if I were single like I am now, or even if I were with someone.  I never had such strong feelings for ANY guy as I've had for Kris.  And still do.  Even though I've come to terms that we're not going to be couple.  And I'm very glad he's not the manipulative type, cause I'm pretty sure he could be manipulating me with little effort.  And i'm pretty sure I'd just go right along, even if I knew I was being manipulated.  That's all a bit frightening to me, and I hope I'm not acutally like that.....but I think I might be.  I'm not totally in sync with whatever my feeling may be...I'll just have to play it by ear.

At any rate, we're supposed to hang out Monday, so we'll see.

After this, I was flipping around on my NetFlix streaming (thanks again ALCMDPP) and stumbled up Galaxy Quest.  I saw the movie in the theater and was very underimpressed.  I'd go as far as to say I did not enjoy it.  But I thought I'd give it another shot.

And while I didn't love it this time around, I did laugh several times, and I did enjoy and have a good time watching it.  It's better the second time seeing it.

I went to bed a bit early, and turned out the light a bit before 11:00.

On no, there goes Tokyo, go, go, Godzilla.....

Saw Godzilla tonight, with the PairisPekings and Ghostie.

Meh.

The special effects and the monster fights scenes were pretty good.  But the 'human interest' stories were predictable, boring Hollywood stereotypical crap.  Not even the pretty eyes and nice arms of Kick-Ass as the lead actor could make it interesting.  Honestly, had they taken the humans out of the movie and just shown the monsters and such, it would have been a much more interesting movie.

But I had basically NO expectations going in.  And those expectations were met, so it's all good.

I'll look forward to the X-Men movie on Sunday.

But in the lobby of the theater, as we entered, I saw Kris and his new man standing in line to get some concession.  It turned away immediately, feeling a quite awkward.  I looked back, to make sure it was him, and....saw him waving.  I waved back and then turned back to my friends.  I mumbled something about Kris being here, and when i turned back around, I saw him walking towards me (luckily leaving the new man in line).  I just walked towards him too, and we hugged and said hi.  We chatted a bit: he said I got the birthday card I sent him, we talked about the movies we were here to see (he was seeing X-Men), we talked about his jobs, and where he was staying now.  Basically, it was a short, polite, genial conversation.  Altogether, not a bad thing.

Although, it was awkward for me, and frankly, I bit disturbing.  I saw the new man and....ugh, I was underimpressed. I thought, "That's what he started a relationship with, but for some reason I wasn't good enough?"  yeah, a bit mean, and I regretted it when I thought it.  but I was always a bit hurt, I'm not over him yet apparently.

But I've always tried to be a better man about the whole situation, so, as I said, even though it was a bit rough inside, I didn't show anything and everything went well. I just have to accept he's moved on, and move on myself.

So to conclude: meeting Kris, a bit awkward and sad, but tolerable; Godzilla, a bit awkward and sad, and.....that's it.

Kris and I have more of less drifted apart.  I can't even remember the last time we hung out....during summer, perhaps.  We still texted occasionally or messaged on Facebook and stuff.  But other than that, well our contact was nil.

I got a text from him today.  He told me, first, that he loved me (which I knew, he and I have said that before...although he meant a different kind of love than what I meant, but still...).  Then he said he wanted me to know that he had a boyfriend now and was in a relationship.  He said that as one of his oldest and closest friends, he wanted me to know that.  The guy's name was Dwayne, he was 46, lived in a close town and was very sweet.

I texted him back telling him I was glad to know he found someone, and that I hoped he was happy with the guy, and I appreciated that he told me all this, and if he needed anything, to just let me know.

And I meant all that I said.  I wish he had found the relationship with me, but if it can't be me, I'm just glad he found someone.  But it still hurts.  A little.  I mean, it's not unexpected, I had already come to the conclusion he and I were never going to be what I wanted us to be.  But knowing this....well it makes it a bit more final.

But Kris is rather mercurial, so who knows how long this will last?  And at least we're still friendly.  This is just something I have to be the bigger man about, the grown up about, and deal with.  And I think I have.  I mean it's not like I'm heart broken, or depressed or suicidal or anything, cause I'm not.  It's just something that I now have to get used to.

It's like Frank Ocean says....
