Still at it, till death us do part (Part 24)...

Dead Or Alive?

Remember, just give me your best guess, no cheating!

Henry Kissinger

Mr. Kissinger was born in 1923 during the Weimar Republic in Germany.  He was National Security Advisor and then Secretary Of State under Richard Nixon, and continued at State under Gerald Ford as well, serving in that position from 1973-1977.  He is also the recipient of a Nobel Peace Prize.

So tell me, Henry Kissinger, is he...Dead Or Alive?

10 Questions

After a week's break for the Thanksgiving holiday, we're back.  And today, we've got...

Enrico!

Enrico is one-half of the famous singing duo Jo$hr!co.  When he's not busy writing hot songs, he enjoys reading, watching RuPaul's Drag Race, and eating Velveeta macaroni and cheese.  He's really good at limbo, bowling, cooking, and anything else he tries.  He has never been wrong, ever.  He's not like any other boy you dated.

1. Have you ever sued someone and have you ever been sued?
No, but when Kalil tried to break my Boy Scouts boxcar in 5th grade, I told him I was going to sue him and then he didn't break it.
2. How many tattoos do you have and/or want?
I have none and want two: Fleetwood Mac lyrics ("Never have I been a blue, calm sea/I have always been a storm") and Rhonetta shooting fire flames at you.
3. What was your first pet and it's name, and what is your most recent pet and it's name?
The first pet I remember having was my dog Faith, who was a German Shepart and Husky mix.  She got too big for our apartment so my mom gave her to some farmer so she would have a field to run around in.  My most recent pet was a mean hamster named Sally Seaton, who tried to front like she was better than Richard Parker, but she obviously wasn't cause she only live for like 5 months.
4. Who is someone who shares your birthday?
Vanessa Hudgens - same month, day, and year.
5. If you were to take a week vacation anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If this an all expenses paid trip, I'd go to Japan.  If I had to pay, I'd go to Josh's apartment.
6. How many credit cards do you currently own?
Just one.  I got it in college and it started with a $5K limit, but then I only spent $20 on it a month so they lowered my limit to $500 and I cried.
7. Do you make your bed everytime you get out of it?
I only make my bed when I have company.
8. When were you last REALLY angry and why?
I don't get angry that often, so it might have been in high school.  I was pretty peeved that Lady Gaga sold her album for 99 cents and therefore sold 1 million in a week.  I got pretty defensive when it comes to music and records and all that, especially when someone gets an accolade through unfair methods.
9. When was the last time you vomited?
The other day!! I was really sick a few weeks ago.  I woke up feeling nauseous but it kind of passed so I started taking a shower.  I was in the shower, singing Taylor Swift's "Treacherous" when suddenly I to vom.  So i jumped out, vommed, then picked up right where I left off with the song.
10. What would you title your autobiography?
This is a super hard question.  Maybe "Boy From The Gutter" or "Tomato Sacks".  I already know that I would title my first album "No Applause" though.

There, now we all know Enrico just a little better!

Remember, if you want to do this, and haven't let me know yet, just send me an email, or leave a comment here.

Conversation has it's hold on me (Part 3)...

Conversations With Kris!

Sunday night, Kris and I are cuddling and talking in bed before going to sleep.  He said something about it being my birthday, so I started singing "In Da Club" by 50 Cent.

Or at least the lyrics I knew.  And while I'm doing it, he's getting that shocked look on his face.

POLT: What?
KRIS: That's just....that's....that's just amazing.
POLT: What?
KRIS: You know the lyrics to a rap song!
POLT: Yeah.
KRIS: A song that *I* don't know the lyrics to!  How do you know those lyrics?
POLT: I am a man of many mysteries.
KRIS:........Um, no.  Seriously.  How do you know those lyrics?
POLT: There are many things I know that might surprise you.
KRIS:.......................No, really.  HOW do you KNOW those lyrics?

Stupifying the youngsters, yet again, am I!

Somebody in here, it's your birthday...

So, you may or may not have heard that yesterday, November 25th, was my birthday.  How WAS my birthday?  Pretty damn nifty, actually.

I slept in a bit, then putzed around on the computer.  I showered, dressed, and headed over to the ParisPeking household.  There I picked up A Local Celebrity, Mr. David ParisPeking, and we headed off to Frederick.  There, we ate at aka Friscos.  Since it was my birthday, he bought my lunch.  I feasted on a delicious ham and cheese sub and bowl of chili, and feasted my eyes on the delicious employees that work there.

Then we went to Barnes & Noble, where I browsed the store for over a half hour buying three books in the end. I also got to talk to Mama and Big Joe, two people that worked with ALCMDPP and I when we both worked a Borders!  What fun that was.

Then we went to a local movie theater to see "Lincoln".  But the matinee prices for regular seats were $10.  We felt that was too much.  So we headed back towards this way.  We went to the Leitersburg Theaters, where they have the VIP seating (big, wide, comfy, stuffed seats that recline and have drink holders in the arms).  The VIP seating for the matinee was only $7!  Good call on our part.

The movie was long, slow, and plodding, kinda like I think Lincoln himself was, but I quite enjoyed it nonetheless.  But then I love history, and Presidential history even moreso.  Not sure that most people would like it, but it IS a good movie.

Following the movie, I came home here and hung out for a bit, watching some football, and snacking some.  At the appropriate time, I went to pick up Kris at his work.  We came back here, watched The Walking Dead, talked a bit afterwards, and then went to bed.  There, we talked some more, cuddled, and had a good time before turning out the light and going to sleep a bit after midnight.

(continuing to today, we woke up late morning, had some bedtimesexxyfun, showered, and headed out.  We went to Kohls so I could get a few things, then to the Olive Garden for lunch.  I then dropped him off at his apartment and returned home here to do some laundry and blob around doing nothing)

So, what did I GET for my birthday?

A new George Foreman-esque grill and some purple duct tape (love Mama Polt!).

TWO  homemade Boston Creme Pies! (love Mama Polt even more!)

Kris in my bed overnight.

Nine birthday cards in the mail, five Happy Birthday Facebook Messages, and 69 Happy Birthday wishes on my Facebook timeline.

As I said, all in all, a pretty good day.

O Tannenbaum, o tannenbaum, how lovely are thy branches....

Last night, after work, mom came down to help get the house decorated for Christmas.  We decorated the tree, put up strings of lights throughout the house, hung strings of lights around the rooms, placed a bunch of kitschy little Christmas stuff all around and hung the wreaths outside.  It all went pretty smoothly: we didn't break any ornaments like last year.  None of the bulbs were out in the lights.  And we had plenty of extension cords, unlike previous years.

In fact, here take a look:

Before we started

Finished, with ceiling light on

Finished, with the ceiling light off.
And here's a quick video:

After this, we went to Applebee's, and she bought me my birthday supper.  Then we went shopping at Wal-Mart and Lowe's before returning here at home.

Glad that's all done though.

Dead Or Alive?

No cheating, just give me your best guess.

Eileen Brennan

Miss Brennan was born in 1932.  She is perhaps best known for her role of Dorren Lewis in the movie Private Benjamin, for which she earned a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination.  She played the same part in the TV adaptation of the movie and won a Golden Globe and Emmy for that role.  So also played the part of Mrs. Peacock in the movie Clue (which I am watching right now).

So tell me, Eileen Brennan, is she....Dead Or Alive?
