When I was twelve, at summer camp (Part 21)...

12 of 12, July 2009 Edition
This whole idea is the genius of Chad.

8:23AM
The breakfast of champions: Frosted Mini Wheats with 2% milk. The bigger thing about this photo though, is what in the HELL am I doing up before 8:30 on a Sunday morning????

11:00AM
Deciding to get a move on with my morning, after wasting most of it, so I hoped into the shower. And you can thank me in the comments for cropping it where I did, for otherwise, I'm certain your eyes would have melted.

11:25AM
Getting over to Mom's, the first order of business is always playing with Angel and one of her toys. She's nowhere near as fierce as she looks here.

11:26AM
Then, must load up the washer with bedclothes.

11:31AM
Having got that done, I can sit down and read the Sunday paper until Mom gets back from church.

1:05PM
We went to the Ott House in Emmittsburg, MD for lunch.

1:23PM
I got a chef's salad. It was HUGE! I took this after eating almost half of it. This is how much is left!

2:25PM
Then we went to the outlets in Gettysburg so I can get a few new clothes. My other ones are shamefully too large. I look twice as big as I am now, they practically swallow me up. I did get this shirt, but decided on other pants.

2:53PM
After diligently shopping for clothes, and buying 4 shirts, 2 pants and 2 belts, we rewarded ourselves with a soft pretzel from Aunt Annies. And a soda as well.

6:05PM
I'm going to look at 5 houses this week, and mom and I decided to walk to two of them and see what they looked like in person from the outside. This is our shadows on our walk.

6:59PM
Upon returning home, I got online to download porn do some work on the Palace.

8:41PM
Tired from my busy day of clothes washing/shopping/eating/walking/downloading porn updating my blog I decided to see what was on tv, and I ended up watching some of the movie "Go", which is immensely entertaining.

And now that this is all done, and since I have to work tomorrow (boo!) I'm off to sleep before it gets too late.

When I was twelve, at summer camp (Part 19)...

12 Of the 12th
(April 2009 edition)

I've got a theme for this month's 12. See if you can figure it out.

10:30am
I woke up, my feet hit the floor, I took a photo (yeah it was at 10:30am, it was a Sunday, and I had a busy day yesterday, don't judge me).

10:38am
After waking up and the morning pee, I hit the computer, checking email, the blog, etc, etc.

12:14pm
After spending WAY too much time online, I jumped in the shower.

12:21pm
I wanted to know how cool it was so I knew what jacket to wear, so I went out onto the balcony and checked (and yeah, those ARE Christmas lights still strung there. I don't turn them on, I'm just too lazy to actually take them down. Now stop judging me!)

12:40pm
We were having the family Easter gathering at my aunt's. I had planned on going down with mom, but since it's only like two streets away, barely a ten minute walk, and it was beautiful sunny day, I just hoofed it. The white cord is my iPod playing Muse tunes to keep me in step.

1:06pm
My younger cousins were out in the backyard playing on the swingset. My youngest cousin, Javey, needed some pushing on the swing. I was only too happy to oblige.

1:50pm
After eating a lunch of hamburgers, hot dogs, and various side dishes (including the deviled eggs I made), some of us when out to hide the Easter eggs. They hid the ones for the two youngest (2 and 5 years old) seperate from the older ones (8, 10, 14, & 16). This one was in the younger kids area. And naturally, I found a purple egg to snap a photo with. Then the hunt commenced!

4:30pm
When we left the gettogether, I went to mom's house with her. Angel, was overjoyed to see me, as she always is.

4:46pm
My grandfather always loved Christmas and Easter. He insisted the whole family be together for those days, and we always were. Every Easter, he took pride in the painted egg he made for all 7 of us grandkids, and he was always active in the hiding of the plastic eggs that we had to hunt for. He loved watching us look for them. He died in 1998, and each year afterwards, on Easter, I've made hardboiled eggs, and painted one and took it to his grave, in memory of him. This year, I was so busy, I didn't get the chance to make the eggs. I had hoped to get hardboiled egg from mom, but she didn't have any. All she had was pickled eggs. I told her they would be better than nothing. And Pap I'm sure would see the humor in getting a pickled egg after getting hardboiled ones for the last 10 years. And it had the added bonus to me of being purplish! So I took it down, put it on his grave, and said a few words to him. I chuckled a bit, as I'm sure he was doing as well. I teared up a bit as well, as he might have been doing. Next year, I'll do better at getting the hardboiled one for him.

5:01pm
I had to go to Wal-Mart to get a few things included some Clariton pills, a belated birthday card, and some other items. I don't have to tell you what I was getting here, do I?

5:13pm
On my way home from Wal-Mart, I got stopped at a stip-light, and grew bored. So I snapped a photo.

6:38pm
I was home from mom's and my buddy Corey called me. While I was laying on the couch, relaxing, I snapped this shot.

When I was twelve, in sumemr camp (Part 15)...

12 of 12th

You can find the rules HERE.

8:55am
First thing in the morning, just like every Sunday, I get online to check email and such.

10:30am
Stopped by mom's house for a bit, and of COURSE I had to play with Angel as soon as I got in the door.

10:43am
On mom's patio, in the sun and warm October weather, I sat and read the paper.

10:44am
Angel was on the patio with me, and apparently, the patio is a very tiring place.

12:10pm
I needed now windshield wiper blades, so I went to this store to get some. Lucky me, I went when they were having a 'buy one, get one free' rebate this week.

12:23pm
Afterwards, I went to the grocery store to pick up some items.

2:15pm
I cut up the celery I had bought. Then I took a few pieces, dribbled some ranch dressing on them, and ate them. Yummy.

3:55pm
This is me cheering and yelling when the St. Louis Rams beat the Washington Deadskins this afternoon! Oh, how joyous that was.

5:00pm
Supper. Sub, chips, Pepsi. The supper of champions, eh?

6:10pm
During the Dallas Cowboys-Arizona Cardinals football game, I ate some peanuts. I like to shell them right over the trashcan.

7:01pm
Sitting on the edge of my seat, anxious, as I watched Dallas kick a game tying field goal thus sending the game into overtime. Of course, Dallas then lost soon after overtime started. Typical.

9:00pm
A little bit of light reading before going to bed.

When I was twelve, at summer camp (Part 13)...

12 Of 12, August 2008 edition

The rules for this are HERE.

8:20am
This is my new daily ritual, taking my blood sugar. As you can see, today it was 231. And that is WAY too high. I'm working on getting it down, as well as my weight. But seeing a level this high does NOT put me in a good mood for the day.

8:33am
I was running late, which is usual for me. I didn't have time to eat at home, so I stopped and got the 'breakfast of champions': Tastykake Cherry Pie and a bottle of 1% milk. And I ate it on the way to work.

11:15am
Lunchtime. Today, I decided to eat at work, and I got the meal the cafeteria was offering: Chicken breast sandwich and fries. And yes, despite how it may look, that is supposed to be a chicken breast. I put the ketchup and mayo on it. It was....I'll say yummy, but we all know that's not true.

4:50pm
I left work, and as I walked across to parking lot, I decided to get a photo of Miss Cleo, my car. And there she sits, totally unfazed by the SUV next to her. She is NOT impressed with gas guzzlers.

5:20pm
Wednesday is trash day on my street. So my first chore upon getting home was gathering up the trash and getting it out to the curb.

5:30pm
Mom was having me over for supper. As soon as I got in the door, I was greeted by Angel and one of her toys, which she insisted I play tug-of-war with. She does that everytime I come inside.

5:33pm
This was my supper: hamburger, corn on the cob and ginger ale (not diet ginger ale, I know I know...). I LOVE corn on the cob, especially when it's big, thick, touch kernels. I love it, drenched in butter and salt.

5:46pm
And this was the remnants of my meal. Can't show you any of the burger, cause I ate it all, but yeah, all four ears were mine. Mom had one, and some soup, that's all she wanted. But damn, that was some good corn.

5:47pm
And following a delicious meal fo delicious corn comes the unsightly, but totally essential, ritual of picking the corn out of your teeth.

6:45pm
After the meal, and some talking with mom, I came home. I intended on watching the Olympics again tonight, and they run late, so I got a shower early to wash all the 'oogies' off and allow me to settle in for the evening. This is me on the other side of the shower curtain.

7:22pm
After the shower, but before the start of the Olympics, I sat down to page through my just-arrived spanking new issue of National Geographic.

8:15pm
And finally, relaxed on the sofa, freshly showered and with my feet propped up, I turned on the TV and watched those cute American (and many cute foreigner) young men in the Olympics.

And now, I'll wrap up posting these so I can get back to watching the games, and see if Phelps wins his record gold medal.
