Grabs my soul, shakes my body like a super bowl (2025 edition).....

Super Bowl LX (60 in Arabic numerals) takes place this Sunday.   The New England Patriots vs The Seattle Seahawks.   And so it's now time for my totally and completely scientific analysis of the game to reveal my prediction as the outcome.

1. The Cities

Patriots: Foxborough Massachusetts

About 18,600 people live there. And it houses the Patriots in Gillette Stadium, and......and that's about it.  Nothing else much going on here.

Seahawks: Seattle, Washington

Population of about 781,000 people with a metro area of over 4 million people.   In addition tot the Seahawks, the city boasts a baseball team, soccer team, hockey team, women's basketball team, women's soccer team, professional rugby team, and professional cricket team.   Seattle has the Space Needle, the fish-throwing Pike's Place, Starbucks founding restaurant, several museums, and countless other points of interest and things to do.

Winner: Seahawks
*********************
2. Distance from Super Bowl
The Super Bowl is being played in Santa Clara California, which is located 45 miles from San Francisco and yet is somehow the San Francisco 49ers 'home' stadium.

Patriots: Foxborough is roughly 3100 miles from Santa Clara
Seahawks: Seattle is roughly 708 miles from Santa Clara.

Winner: Seahawks
********************
3. Logo/Mascot

profile of an android face wearing a long hat that's on fire at the end of it.

Profile of a bird of prey's head, looking also like something from a totem pole, of which there are several in the Pacific northwest.  And the bird looks pissed too.

Winner: Seahawks
********************
4. 2025 Season record

Patriots: 14-3 (.824)
Seahawks: 14-3 (.824)

Winner: Tie
********************
5. Coaches

Patriots: Mike Vrabel, 50 years old.

He spent 7 years playing for the Patriots, as well as for a couple other years, the Steelers and the Chiefs.  He was Head Coach of the Tennessee Titans from 2018-2023, going 54-45.  This year is his first year as the Patriots Head Coach.  It's his first time to the Super Bowl as a Head Coach.

Seattle: Mike McDonald, 38 years old.

He's had multiple coaching positions but was made Seattle Head Coach in 2024.  In his two years, he's gone 24-10.

Winner: Patriots
*********************
6. Quarterback Experience

Patriots: Drake Maye, 23 years old.  Second year in the NFL and second year as Patriots QB, going 17-12 (,586).  This is first Super Bowl

Seahawks: Sam Darnold, 28 years old.  Eighth year in the NFL, he's playing QB for the Jets, the Panthers, the Niners, the Vikings, and the Seahawks, going 49-41 (.544). This is his first year with the Seahawks.  This is his first Super Bowl.

Winner:  I don't know...I'm calling this one another tie.
********************
7. Quarterback Face

Patriots: Drake Maye

Seahawks; Sam Darnold

Winner:  Both are kinda, meh.  I'm gonna go with Drake Maye by a hair.
********************
8. Quarterback Body

Patriots: Drake Maye

Seahawks: Sam Darnold

Winner: Both are kinda, meh.  I'm just gonna call this a tie.
*********************
9. Other Star Player

Seahawks: Cooper Cupp, 32 years old, wide reciever

First year playing with the Seahawks, but played for the Los Angeles Rams from 2017 to 2024.

Patriots: Um...do the Patriots even HAVE another star player????

Winner: Seahawks
**********************
10. Team Super Bowl  Experience

Patriots: This will be the team's 12th Super Bowl.  Record is 6-5 (,545)
Seahawks: This will be the team's 4th Super Bowl.  Record is 1-2 (,333)

Winner: Patriots
*****************

So, following this totally scientific and unbiased analysis, the result is:

Seahawks - 4 wins, Patriots - 3 wins, Ties - 3.

Thus, the team hefting the Lombardi Trophy Sunday night will be...

The Seattle Seahawks!

However, I understand the numbers were really close.  So what's gonna push it over the top for the Seahawks is the following:

Fuck tRump.  Fuck MAGA.  Fuck Robert Kraft.  Fuck The New England Patriots.

Grabs my soul, shakes my body like a super bowl (2024 edition)...

Super Bowl LVIX (59 in non-Roman numerals) is this Sunday.  The Philadelphia Eagles vs the Kansas City Chiefs.  Didn't we just DO this?  Yeah, yeah, we did, two years ago.   So we might as well use my stats from the game, those that haven't changed as well as those few who may have.

1. The Cities

Chiefs; Kansas City
Eagles: Philadelphia

Two years ago winner: Eagles
This year winner: Eagles
********************
2. Distance to the Super Bowl

This years it's in New Orleans not Phoenix.
Chiefs: 846 miles
Eagles: 1224 miles

Winner: Chiefs
*********************
3. Team Mascot/Logos

Two years ago winner: Chiefs
This year winner: Chiefs

Winner: Chiefs
********************
4. Coaches
Chiefs: Andy Reid
Eagles; Nick Sirianni

Two years ago winner: Chiefs
This year winner: Chiefs
********************
5. 2024 Season Record
(including playoffs)

Chiefs: 17-2
Eagles: 17-3

Winner: Chiefs
********************
6. Quarterback Experience

Chiefs: Since the last time they met in the Super Bowl, the Chiefs have won another Super Bowl
Eagles: Since the last time they met in the Super Bowl, the Eagles didn't even make it to the NFC Conference Game

Two year ago winner: Chiefs
This year winner: Chiefs
**********************
7. Quarterback Face Cuteness

Same quarterbacks both years, faces haven't changed.

Two year ago winner: It was tie between Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts.
This year winner: Again, a tie
********************
8. Quarterback Body Hotness

Same quarterbacks both years, same bodies.

Two years ago: Eagles and Jalen Hurts
This year winner: Eagles and Jalen Hurts
********************
9. Team's Other Star Player

Chiefs: two Years ago, it was Travis Kelce

Eagles; Saquan Barkley

So we've got a large tight end with a much too bushy beard.  And we got a running back with freakishly HUGE thighs and bubble butt.

Winner: Saquan Barkeley and the Eagles!
********************
10, Team's Super Bowl Experience

Chiefs: 4-2
Eagles: 1-3

Winner: Chiefs
*********************
So, this completely scientific and unbiased study results in the following:

Chiefs: 6 wins, Eagles: 3 wins, ties: 1

So the Chiefs are taking home their third straight Super Bowl trophy.

And yet, and yet, you're back.....

So it’s that time of the election season: My predictions.

Honestly, I have no fucking idea who is going to win this thing.

I will make two predictions that I am absolutely, positively sure will come to pass:

1) We will not know who the winner is Tuesday night.
2) tRump will declare himself the winner before all the votes are counted, probably before all the polls are even closed, but certainly on Tuesday night.

Beyond those two, everything else I have are just gut feelings.

The polling all says it’s a toss up, a coin toss if you will.  Could go either way.  And that’s all the polling, from good, established pollsters to fly by night partisan hack pollsters.   Everyone seems to agree it’s too close to call.

And yet…..

And yet, I see these crowds for Harris.  I see her filling out 30, 40, 50,000 seat areas.  Everywhere.  I see her give a speech before a crowd of 75000 that couldn’t be contained on the Ellipse in Washington, it overflowed into the Washington Mall, going as far as up the hill to the Washington Monument.   She first asked for a permit for 20000, and then had to up it to 40000 and then ended up with 75000!

And tRump can only ‘fill’ half of a high school gymnasium.  His other venues are never full, and people continuously leave early.  Of course, he claims crowds of 50000….in venues that only hold 20000.  I have always said Crowds aren’t votes.  Even if the same person or people show up to multiple events to show their support that’s still only one vote per person.

But what these crowds DO show is enthusiasm.  They show and excited, fired up crowd for Harris, ready to canvas, or phone bank, or go door-to-door, or send money, or talk to their friends and relatives.  And they show a tRump crowd that’s barely awake, leaving in droves before he’s done speaking (his usual speech clocks in at over and hour, sometimes and hour and a half.  Harris’ Ellipse speech, by the way, was 29 minutes).  They don’t show any enthusiasm or interest in doing anything but going home.   And an unenthusiastic vote is worth the same as an enthusiastic one remember.

And yet….

And I see online how former and current Republicans are stating they’re voting for a Democrat, just this once, cause they want to preserve democracy.   And all kinds of young people posting photos of themselves after the first vote they ever made, or after they cast their vote for the first female president, or after they cast their vote for their future.   Now I understand my social media is in a bubble: several years ago I blocked or unfriended or deleted or just stopped contact with rabid MAGAmorons…I just couldn’t their rampant stupidity anymore.  So I understand I’m not seeing the full spectrum of voters online.

And yet….

And there are tons and tons and tons of people you wouldn’t think would endorse Harris doing so.  Republicans like Lynn Cheney and Adam Kinzinger and just this weekend, Arnold Schwarznegger.  And 8 retired four star generals and other high ranking military personnel.  And people who worked in the White House with tRump!  They knew him best, right?  And even his first vice president!  Pence has said he cannot support or vote for tRump over the insurrection.  Of course you’ve got the big stars endorsing her: Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, LeBron James, and many others.  And all big name democrats, including every living man to hold the office (except for that coward W!  I mean, Jimmy Carter, 100 years old and in hospice care, endorsed her, but not W.)  And who does tRump have?  Kid Rock.  Kevin Sorbo.  Hulk Hogan.  The MyPillow Guy.  Mole Sunk with his ex-Twitter and Tesla.  And Tucker Carlson.   I don’t think I need to add anything to that.

But then people say, endorsements don’t really matter.  And maybe they don’t, who knows?

And yet…

And Harris has, in just three months, raised nearly a billion dollars!  Yes, a billion, with a B.  Most coming from small donors.  Now tRump has raised a lot of money too, but most of that came from the millionaires and billionaires he wants to give more tax cuts to.  But certainly this shows again the enthusiasm on Harris’ side, to have all these individual normal Americans sending her, in total, so much money.   But then a million dollars collected from small donors spends just the same as a million given by an obscenely rich man.

And yet……

And in my own little world, I’ve observed the following: Lawn signs and flags.  Now my area is very VERY Republican.  In 2020, my county voted for tRump by 43 points.  Yes, you read the correctly: 71 % (57000 votes) to 28% (22000 votes).   I am under no illusion that Harris will win Franklin Co Pa.  But I have seen a LOT of Harris yard signs this time, more than Biden in 2020 or Hillary in 2016, and lot less tRump signs than in either of those years.  I’d say, from my walks and drives around town, I’ve seen roughly 50/50, certainly not as high as 60/40.  And that’s insane for such a Republican area!  But, votes for tRump from a house without yard signs count the same as votes for Harris from a house with yard signs.

And yet….

And yet, the polls.  The polls have this too close to call.  Honestly I just cannot see how that can be. Nonetheless, that's what the polls say.  Could they all be wrong or off?  All wrong or off in the same way?  I don't know, seems unlikely.

And yet....

There's a site I read pretty much every day, a political site.  First discovered it when Obama was in office, so I've been doing so for at least 10 years.  Its written by two college professors, not pollsters or political talking heads or anyone working for either side.  I've found their posts informative and well thought out and interesting.  And usually correct.

They said they'll be posting their prediction, probably tomorrow, but when people ask what they think the chances are, they say, "There's a 33% chance tRump wins in a squeaker, there's a 33% chance Harris wins in a squeaker, there's a 33% chance Harris wins in a landslide."   I think those odds are dead on correct.

My own opinion is, she won't win in a landslide, but she will win.  And I hope to GOD and all that's holy that's it NOT a squeaker.  She has to beat him by three states or more.  I say that because she's only ahead by 15 points or less, a situation where just Pennsylvania or Michigan or any one state will throw the election tRump, when the inevitable tRump lawsuits get to the 6 partisan hacks on the Supreme Court, I have no doubt they'll move heaven and earth and tear precedent, the law and the Constitution to shreds to flip the state and give him the election, and the uncontrolled power they wanted him to have from their immunity decision.  They might even flip two states for him.  But if they have to flip three or more, then that would be too obvious of corruption, even for them.  I'm convinced that's why they didn't do it in 2020, because it would have been too obvious.

So I'm hoping and praying  for a win of more than a squeaker, and I doubt it'll be a landslide.

Below is my prediction for the final outcome:

303 electoral votes to 234 electoral votes.  Basically its the same map Biden won with, except Georgia goes red and North Carolina goes blue.  I think NC will flip because too many people there saw the quick response by FEMA and how they helped after Hurricane Helene, and they also heard tRump and all his cronies lying about FEMA.  And I think that's gonna piss them off and cause them to vote for Harris.   I have no specific reason why Georgia will flip back, I just think it will.  I think the Georgia legislature has done whatever they can, illegal or legal, to ensure the state goes red this time.  And I think it will, unfortunately, work.

NOTE:

Before I finished and published this, Ann Selzer, the guru of Iowa state politics released her poll of the state and had Harris UP by three points!  After considering this overnight, I have to say I don't really believe that she's up by that much, but recall back in June, Selzer had tRump up in the state by 18 points!   And over the last 12 years, these have been her results there:

Final Selzer poll findings (and the actual result) 2022 Senate: R+12 (R+12) 2020 President: R+7 (R+8) 2020 Senate: R+4 (R+7) 2018 Governor: D+2 (R+3) 2016 President: R+7 (R+9) 2014 Senate: R+7 (R+8) 2012 President: D+5 (D+6)

You can see, historically, her final poll has undervalued the eventual winner by 1, 1, 2, 5, 3, 1 and 0, an average undervaluation of the winner by 1.85.  If this is true this year, then that means Harris IS going to win Iowa, by 4.85 points!  That's pretty difficult to believe.

Even if she's not spot on (and historically she errs on the side of the winner not the loser, usually), and if tRump does eek out a victory in Iowa, remember that he was up by 18 in June!  That means in 4 months, Harris managed to swing the state by like 20 points in her direction!

I don't think it's all just her, tho. The Iowa 6 week abortion ban took effect in July, and that people PISSED!  that's probably got the most to do with the swing actually.

But I guess my greater point is, that being the case, what does this foretell for other states?  If she's up in Iowa, of all places, then she's already got all seven swing states in the bag, as all 7 are less Republican leaning than Iowa.    And what other states could a similar swing affect?

If Selzer's Iowa poll is correct, and I'm not saying it IS, I'm saying IF, then Harris is headed for a landslide!  But that's not my prediction.  This poll could be an outlier.  It could be a repeat of 2018 where she over estimated the Democrat by 5 points.    I guess we'll find out in a couple days.

Nonetheless, I'm sticking with my original prediction shown the map.

And praying for an even better result.

They'll admit I exist when I become the Vice-President.....

So, with ten more days or so to think about it, this is my thoughts on Harris' VP contest.

I still think Buttigieg would make an amazing Veep, and WILL be an amazing president someday.  In a perfect world, he's my pick hand's down.  But this is far from a perfect world.   I don't know that there's anyone who's all behind Harris that would not support her with him on the ticket, I think Democrats are beyond that.  But I do think there may be some people unsure of who to vote for and having a gay on the ticket may just keep them from voting for the ticket.  Not that they'd vote for tRump, but voting third party or staying home is just like giving a vote to tRump.   And we can't afford to lose any votes.

Previously, I was totally on board with AZ senator Mark Kelly, and I still think he'd be a benefit to the ticket: you can't beat his back story.  But I haven't seen much of him, I don't know how good of a speaker he is.  And I don't know how exciting he is as a candidate.  But I don't think he's be any kind of drag on the ticket.

I know little of MN Gov Walz, but he is a GREAT speaker, really down-home Midwest rural type of guy.  He'd be a big benefit to the ticket.

PA Gov Shapiro, I like (obviously, he's my governor), but I'm hearing a lot of baggage online.  Don't know how accurate it is, cause I didn't hear any of it two years ago during his Gubernatorial campaign.  I'm thinking the opposition is scared of him, because he seems to be the one they're throwing the a LOT of dirt at him.  He could probably seal up Pennsylvania.  But I'm worried about the far left.  How the college kids are gonna see all kinds of stuff from Russian troll farms saying how Shapiro is practically an agent of Israel and probably kills Palestinian babies in his spare time and they're probably believe it and protest on campuses and possibly the convention in the end of the month.  I don't think that's anything we need.  So I'm very luck warm to Shapiro shortly.

Ken Gov Beshear is young, photogenic and another great rural Midwest speaker.  He can't bring Kentucky that's a lost cause.  But he may be able to help with other rural voters in Ohio, and PA.  Who knows?

What I would love to see is whenever she makes her announcement, to have ALL the other candidates there.  She make the announcement, the Veep candidate makes his speech and then all the other candidates give short speeches of support.    Just to show a united front.

The best part is, ALL of the candidates, including Whitmer and Cooper who have dropped out, are amazing candidates.  And I look forward to see all of them all over the campaign trail in the next three months.

But we'll see how this all plays out in the next couple days.

My vices are priceless, I kinda like this....

So hey, since there ain't much going on in the world today, let's have a fun guessing game, prediction game.  Let's see who we (and by we I mean me) think Harris' VP pick is gonna be.

So I've heard several names bandied about, and I agree they could be on a shortlist.  I suppose there could be others, but honestly, after racking my brain, I really can't come up with any others.  And I don't know that any of these will be the pick, but hey, I'm going with these.   In no particular order we have...

Gavin Newsom, Governor of California

He's a very attractive candidate, he's a helluva public speaker, and he'll make a great president some day.  However, he's ruled out right away cause he and Harris are both from California an the Constitution says that's a no-no.    Plus, his ego and ambition won't let him be anything but the man out front.

Gretchen Whitmer, Governor of Michigan

She's a very attractive candidate too, and would make a helluva president some day.  She's smart, a great speaker, and very much a rising star in the party.  Plus, she'd help being the swing state of Michigan into the Democrats column.

However, I don't think it's her.  It's gonna be hard enough to sell a female presidential candidate to some people, having only females on the ticket will make that an even harder sell.

Josh Shapiro, Governor of Pennsylvania

Josh Shapiro is my governor and I proudly voted for him in 2022 and look forward to doing so in the future for that office or some other.   He's been attorney general of PA too, and at only 51 years old (bastard's younger than ME!...but then so is Whitmer, she's 52.  Newsom though is older than me....by 45 days.  but hey, it's still older!) he's a rising star in the party too.  And he'd help with getting Pennsylvania in the blue column too.

But, he's only been a governor for less than 2 years, that's not much experience.  Also, he's Jewish.  Which obviously doesn't matter to me, but it may matter to some others....a woman and a Jew might be too much for some.  But mainly, I think he's out because of the lack of experience.  Give him until 2032, he'll still be under 60.

Pere Buttigieg, Secretary Of Transportation

Now this guy, this man, this fella is who I'd LOVE to see on the ticket!   He is an AMAZING, OUTSTANDING speaker.  He reminds me of Obama.  I've seen him rip to shreds Republican arguments calmly, professionally, and with facts and with joy in doing so.   He speaks 8 languages, is a veteran and was in Iraq at least once (might be two, not sure), and has been a phenomenal Transportation Secretary, and he was my first choice for president in 2020.

But, he's gay.  And again, that doesn't bother me in the least (duh),   But as unsure as I am about the country electing a black woman, I think it's even more unlikely that it will elect a gay man.   Not now, not yet.  And a black, a woman, and gay on the same ticket will, I think doom that ticket.  Sadly.

Andy Beshear, Governor of Kentucky

I've heard this name once or twice.  I don't know much about him, other than he's a Democratic governor of a red Southern state.   So I suppose the theory is he'd help with Southern men, but I don't think there's that many Southern men who aren't already in the MAGA camp.  And those that aren't are not likely to vote for a white Southern man who's lower on the ticket than a West Coast black woman.  And there is exactly zero change Kentucky's voting blue this year.  The last time Kentucky went blue was for Bill Clinton twice in the 90s and it's only done so three times total in the last 50 years.  Plus he's only 46...bastard's 10 years younger than me.....anyway, I don't even see him making the short list.

Mark Kelly, Senator from Arizona

Okay, this one, of these six, is the one I would choose.  He's from Arizona, so that would help us get the state and help with the Senate race there.  He married to Gabrielle Gifford, who was a victim of a public shooting a few years ago.  He's a Navy veteran AND an astronaut.  That's a great story!  He's 60, just a year older than Harris.   And with Arizona having a Democratic governor who would appoint a Democrat to replace him if he won, that wouldn't affect the balance in the Senate.

The downside would be, like Shapiro, his lack of experience.  He was just elected to the Senate in 2020, so he's only got 4 years....which incidentally is 2 years more than the Republican candidate Vance who only has 2 years experience.

Plus, he and Harris are both from the West, so there would be no geographic balance.  But I don't think that matters much anymore.  And remember 32 years ago, Clinton and Gore were from Arkansas and Tennessee...no geographic balance there.  And they won twice.

So of this list, I'd go with Senator Kelly.  Not sure that Harris will, not sure that any of these are even on her shortlist, but this is who I'd go with.

Who do YOU think it'll be?

Sunday, May 05, 2024

We are now 6 months from the 2024 Presidential Election.

I have a prediction.

On Election in November, the price of gas will be between $6-$7 a gallon.

Why do I say that?  I say that because...
a) Putin wants tRump back in the White House so he can win in Ukraine and then run roughshod over the rest of Europe
b) The Saudi Royal Family wants tRump back in the White House because they practically own the entire tRump family and could get anything and everything they want.
c) Oil company executives are greedy sons-a-bitches and take every opportunity to gouge the American public with higher gas prices AND they know, a tRump administration is going to go a lot easier on them, regulation-wise, than another Biden administration would.

So, for these three reason, I believe Putin will cut oil production (even though that lack of funds will hurt him short terms), the Saudis will cut production, and regardless of how much they need to charge for gas, the oil companies are gonna jack the price up higher than necessary.

Certainly, after Labor Day we'll see it higher than it's been in years, and just as early voting starts in the lot states, watch for the price to steady rise and rise.

i further predict that, regardless of what the price is on Election Day, and regardless of the outcome of the election, by Thankgiving and certainly, by Christmas, gas prices will be down closer to where they are now...$4.00 a gallon or so.

I have been wrong in a lot of predictions before.  I pray that I am wrong again.  But it just makes a little too much sense.  Unfortunately.

Grabs my soul, shakes my body like a Super Bowl (2023 edition)...

Super Bowl LVIII (58 for you non-Roman numeral literate) is fast approaching, and that means it's time for me use my scientific evaluations and make a prediction as to the winner: the Kansas City Chiefs or the San Francisco 49ers.

1. The Cities

Chiefs: Kansas City

(I just copied this part from last year)
A population of a 2.3 and some million (in the metro area).  It's got one other professional sports team, the Royals of baseball.  There's really not a whole more else to report about Kansas City (although it was nice to find a pic of their Union Station all lit up in purple).

Niners: San Francisco

San Francisco proper is some 800,000 people, but the metro area has a population of more than 3.5 million people. In addition to the Niners, baseball's Giants and basketball's Golden State Warriors play within the area.  There's also a whole host of important site: Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, cable cars, The Castro, Fisherman's Wharf, and many museums, theaters, colleges, universities, and many cultural places, events and areas.

Winner: Niners

2. Distance from the Super Bowl.

The Super Bowl is in Las Vegas this year.
Chiefs: 1,350 miles away
Niners: 576 miles away

Winner: Niners

3. Team Mascot/Logos

Chiefs:

Niners:

Hmm, so they're both just letters of the cities names.  Pretty boring.  But the Chiefs at least have an arrowhead, while the Niners have.....an oval.  Which has nothing whatsoever to do with San Francisco or a 49er.

Winner: Chiefs

4. Coaches

Chiefs: Andy Reid

Andy Reid is 65 years old.  He's been a coach, at all levels, since 1982 (41 years).  He's been the Chief's head coach for 10 years.  And in fact, he was the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles for 13 years.  This will be Andy's 5th Super Bowl, his record in the previous three are 2-2, two wins with the Chiefs, and a loss with both the Eagles and the Chiefs.  He's led the team to 6 AFC Championship Games in a row, and three Super Bowls in 4 years.

Niners: Kyle Shanahan

Kyle Shanahan is 44 years old (he was just out of diapers when Andy Reid started coaching).  He's held various NFL assistant coaching positions since 2004, and the head coach of the Niners since 2017.  He's led the Niners to 4 NFC Championship Games in 5 years, and to one previous Super Bowl, 4 years ago, which he lost....to the Kansas City Chiefs and Andy Reid.

Winner: Chiefs

5. 2023 Season Records

Chiefs: 11-6 regular season (65%), total record 14-6 (70%)
Niners: 12-5 regular season (71%), total record 14-5 (74%)

Winners: Niners

6. Quarterback Experience

Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes, 28 years old

He has been quarterback of the Chiefs since 2017.   In that time, he has a regular season record of 75-22 (77% win rate), a postseason record of 13-3 (81% win rate), taken his team to the AFC Championship game 6 out of the 7 season he's played, and this will be his fourth Super Bowl.  He's won 2 Super Bowls and been a Super Bowl MVP.  He holds 13 NFL records himself.

Niners: Brock Purdy, 24 years old

This is his second season in the NFL, both with the Niners. His regular season record is 17-4 (having only started 5 games last season, for a win rate of 81%), a post season record of 4-1 (80% win rate).   This is his first Super Bowl.  I am sick to tears of the "Mr. Irrelevant" Schick, so I'll not go any further into it here.

Winner: Chiefs

7. Quarterback Face Cuteness

Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes

Niners: Brock Purdy

Purdy isn't bad but kinda....average.  Mahomes, however, I have always found attractive.

Winner: Chiefs

8. Quarterback Body Hotness

Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes

Niners: Brock Purdy

They've been making jokes about Mahomes' "dad bod" which I don't see.  I mean, yeah he doesn't have ripped abs, but it's not a dad bod.  And Purdy,  we;; he's got some pretty sweet biceps, pecs and nips.

Winner: TIE

9. Team's Other Star Player

Chiefs; Travis Kelce

Kelce is a tight end and he's 34 years old.  He's played for the Chiefs since 2013 and the Super Bowl will be the 21st playoff game he's played in.

Niners: Christian McCaffrey

McCaffrey is 27 years old. He's been in the NFL since 2017, playing with Panthers until traded to the Niners in 2022.  This will be the 7th playoff game he's played in.

So, attractiveness wise, I'm not into bears, and mid-20s guys are better than mid-30s guy.  So that would seem to point to McCaffrey.  But Kelce has a much more impressive resume, which should point to Kelce.  And that being the case this SHOULD be a tie.

However.  With his vaccination advocacy, and Taylor Swift, and the way the both, separately AND together make the heads of the MAGA wingnuts explode, the winner HAS to be....

Winner: Chiefs
*********************
10. Team's Super Bowl Experience

Chiefs: This will be the Chiefs 6th Super Bowl, with a record of 3-2 (60%)
Niners: This will be the Niners 8th Super Bowl, with a record of 5-2 (71%)

In both the number of appearances and the percentage of wins, the winner is...

Winner: Niners

So after this completely scientific and totally unbiased analysis, we have the following:

Chiefs - 5 wins, Niners - 4 wins, ties - 1

Thus, this at the end of this year's Super Bowl, the Kansas Chiefs will be hefting the Lombardi Trophy again.
