Chapter 12, Page 31...
So apparently somewhere over the year I miscounted a day, cause there's only 365 days in the year and I got to a count of 366,,,,but I digress....
Thursday I got up and to work with little problems...and then the problems started. Well not really problems, but holidays are usually no problems and rather laid back and easy going, this year, like Christmas Eve the week before, New Years Eve was insane! The day before I only had 3 new clients to deal with, this day, I had 10 total! And there were some nutballs in the group as well. It was just a crazy day overall.
Thankfully, I still managed to get out of work at the regular time. Then I headed to the grocery store (which was busy, but not insanely so) for some Diet Coke and celery and ranch dressing. This was my contribution to the party I was going to. Oh and some cupcakes as well.
I then drove the ParisPeking household. I rang the doorbell. A Local Celebrity, Mr. David ParisPeking opened it and said, "Our youngest has lice. Welcome and Happy New Year." It seems they found some lice on the youngest daughter, which resulted in a quick haircut and thorough shampooing with lice shampoo of said daughter, and a thorough shampooing of the other two girls too, just in case. But it was no biggie (well not for me, I'm not the one who spent several hours over the evening shampooing kids hair and combing through it, as their mother dutifully did).
We exchanged the Christmas gifts we got each other. I received the first Star Wars trilogy on DVD & Blu-Ray, which was a surprise, and yet a great idea all at the same time. And I recieved a Roku...thingee, which I knew very little about, but which ALCMDPP assures me he'll get hooked up for me Sunday when he's here to watch football and that I will love it. And since he didn't lead me wrong with the Blu-Ray player/Netflix streaming last Christmas, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt. I also got two graphic novels from Ghostie that he's been telling me about. So I'll give those a shot and see if I like them.
After this we had a delcious ALCMDPP cooked meal of roast beef, taters, peas, bread, and even some meatballs they made for the youngest to enjoy. And we snacked on snacky stuff (including the celery I brought).
After some zombie killing on some video game system by the two guys, while I watched some Minions short movies with the girls, we all retreated to the man-cave where we watched Spaceballs (May the SCHWARTZ be witcha!) Following that, after my inability to get them to watch some Doctor Who on Netflix, we settled in to watch several episodes of Bob's Burgers on Netflix.
About 10:30, Ghostie, being the weakling that he is, gave in to his tiredness and went home. But, long about 11:10, I was laying on the couch, still watching Bob's Burgers with some of the them, when I too started to feel my eyes uncontrolably shut. So I told ALCMDPP I too was weak and was probably going to go home before I fell asleep there. He said his eyes too were drifting shut (even though the two oldest girls were still awake and holding on...but barely). So I packed up my stuff, thanked everyone, said goodbye and left.
I got home about 11:30. I turned on the CNN thing with Kathy and Anderson and watched that until the ball drop. And the singing of Auld Lang Syne, New York, New York, and whatever other traditional songs they play at that time. Then I turned everyone off and went up to bed. I read only a very few short minuted, turned out the light and went promptly to sleep.
I realized this morning, that that was the first time in my LIFE I had been alone at the turn of the new year. I'm not upset or whining about it, just making an observation. I was with my parents for the early part of my life. Then I was with friends or out at a club or bar. And then for the last ten or eleven or so years, I was at the ParisPekings every year. Always home and in bed by 12:30, but I always was with someone else. This is the first year I just toated myself with my bottle of Diet Coke I was sipping on (not even any alcohol at midnight).
I am truly an old man now.

Chapter 12, Page 30...
Wednesday, I got up and to work actually a lil bit early. Work wasn't too bad, had the normal stuff to do, which I did get done. Then I got the info that we civilians were given two hours early release. So at 2PM, off I went. To home.
I got here, and hung out all night here, not doing much of anything. Was on the computer. Would have read, had I a book I was in the process of reading (I'm waiting until the first of the year to start the new one). Watched some Star Trek: Next Generation reruns. Gathered up the trash and set it out. Had snacky stuff for supper.
Honestly, about 7PM, i was ready for bed...or felt like it. But that's becuase I was home 5 hours, and usually when I'm home 5 hours it's 9PM and my body says its time for bed.
Instead Diego texted and then called me. And we chatted. For like two hours. he's so easy to talk to. And funny. And interesting. I enjoy our hour long chats. Finally, at 930, we hung up. I went to bed, read some (graphic novels), was on the phone some and then about 10:15, turned out the light and went to sleep.

Someone book me a room (Part 364)...
Chapter 12, Page 29...
And other than talking with my coworker three times, that was pretty much all I did. Mainly because the paperwork took so much time. After work, I came home here and hung until the designated time.
BP (the guy with the back porch) had contacted me yesterday and asked about getting together. So we decided this night, at about 630. And, lo, about 630, I arrived at his back porch. We went into the....well I guess I'd call it a porch gazebo (it's like a gazebo, but with opaque flaps on four sides and a roof...and its on his porch). He sealed the main flap and we had our bedtimesexxyfun there. He had the small heater going and they had lights strung up inside this time. It was quite fun, as it has been the two previous times.
Tuesday, I got up and to work roughly on time. Again, only one other person in my department was there today (the other still on vacation) and I was working by myself the next two days, just like last week. So my coworker took the new clients and handled them and allowed me to get the weekly paperwork finished. Which I did. And I thanked him for doing that for allowing me to get that done.

Afterwards, since I was out near the Hallmark store anyway, I just went there and got my cards for the month of January. I also stopped by Hardee's for a roast beef and fries. I brought them home and ate them while watching Golden Girls and Facts Of Live reruns on TVLand.
After a bit of this, I ended up going to bed about 8:30. My stomach's been a little rumble-y since yesterday. Not feeling bad, per se, but not feeling...right. Don't know how else to say it. At any rate, I took some Pepto, got into bed, read a little bit. Then I turned out the light and went to sleep.

Someone book me a room (Part 363)...
Chapter 12, Page 28...
Monday, I got up at 8:30, which is early for me on a day I'm off work, but I had plans. I showered, dressed, grabbed my book, went to Rutters for coffee and then headed out to Derick's house. He had wanted to get tested for HIV for some time, and now was the day we scheduled for me to drive him somewhere to get it done.
As we were driving to Chambersburg, I asked him to check the place we were going to make sure they were open and that he didn't need an appointment. He said we were going to Planned Parenthood, but when he called them, the message said they weren't open. He had another place in mind, and called them, but they didn't do HIV testing on Mondays. However, the lady on the phone luckily suggested another place. He got the address, he looked it up on his phone, and we headed out there.
This place was an Infectious Disease Clinic (!!!) and it was on the second floor above an Urgent Care. When we entered the large waiting room, he went over to the window, and I took my book and coffee and went to the far corner to sit in a chair there. There were only about three other people in the room, but none of them were near that corner. And I didn't really want to be close to anyone in there...I didn't know if they had the flu or colds or what have you.
But Derick came over and sat next to me. He said they DO take walk-ins and it IS a free test. He said the lady said something about an oral test, and he didn't know what that was. I told him the testing could be done by a blood draw or by a swab on the inside of your cheek. That was what the oral test was.
So he was one his phone, I was reading my book, until they called his name. And when he went inside, he was in there for quite a while. I wondered what was taking so long, AND I was really glad I had brought my book along. Eventually, he came out, we left the waiting room and as we were walking down the stairs, he high fived me and said, "Negative!" We were both happy.
He said after doing the swab it was a 20 minute wait, and then they'd have the results, so that's what the delay was. She gave him a little baggie of things: Condoms, lube, etc, etc, etc. After this, we went to a local store he wanted to get something at. And then I took him back home. And at his suggestion, we had some bedtimesexxyfun.
After this, I came home. I mailed some things, got gas for the car and got a few things at the grocery store that I forgot the day before. I came home, put that all away, and did two loads of laundry. While that was going on, I was on the computer, and I FINALLY finished the book I was reading on Richard The Lionheart. I started the damn thing on November 22, and it took me OVER a month to get it done! It was a long book, over 500 pages, and it had smallish print. And I was into the book, but it still took me a long time to get through it. But at least it's done.
Since there's only three more days left in the year, I'm not going to start a new book now. I'll wait until the 1st of January to start a new one. I dont like my books to overlap calendar years (yes I am a freak). So I'll just do other stuff over the next couple days.
I also watched the football pre-game show, and wrapped the last three gifts I had (I'm giving them to their recipient on New Year's Eve) and then just vegetated on the couch until it was time to go up to bed.

Someone book me a room (Part 362)...
Chapter 12, Page 27...
Sunday I got out of bed about 11AM. I showered, dressed and waited for mom. She stopped by about 12:15, picked me up and we went to Hardee's for a quick, fast food lunch. Then she dropped me off here and I started watching football. A bit later, as planned, A Local Celebrity, Mr. David ParisPeking showed up and we watched over four hours of football together. We watched the Steelers lose (which while not as good as if Washington had lost, it was still nice to watch), and then watched the early part of the Packers getting shellacked by the Cardinals. We ordered pizzas and ate them during the second game. And then ALCMDPP left for home.
I watched the rest of the game, was online some, watched the pre-game show for the evening game and a bit of that game as well. But for some reason, I was pretty tired. So a little after 9, I went up to bed. I read a little bit, and turned out the light at 10:45 and went to sleep.
And slept GOOD! It was comfy and warm, and the sheets felt extrasoft or something. Anyway, it was a great night's sleep!

Chapter 12, Page 26...
Saturday, I got up about 11. I showered, dressed and then headed out. I went to Hallmark and got next year's Christmas cards (half off!), and then to the grocery store. We were having the family Christmas this afternoon, I was to bring deviled eggs. Christmas Eve I hard boiled the dozen eggs I had. Christmas Day evening, I set out to make them, but.....the shells would not come off in anything other than tiny little pieces and the inner film that covers the eggs wouldn't come off either. So I ended up ruining two eggs trying to get them ready. I just said screw it and I'd get a bag those pre-hard boiled and peeled eggs and use those. So that's what I got at the store.
I brought them home and started to cut them in half....and I could NOT get the yokes to come out without ruining the white parts. After destroying two eggs that way, I said fuck it and gave up. I called mom and told her that we weren't going to have any deviled eggs, and explained what had happened. She laughed and said she could make them, but I told her that's not why I called, I just wanted to let her know they wouldn't be there. She said she was just sitting there knitting to pass some time, so she'd go out and make them. And she did. So we DID have eggs after all.
Until it was time to leave for mom's, I laid on the couch and read, was on the computer and even napped a bit. Then I packed up all the gifts for my young cousins I had gotten and headed out.
When I got to mom's we loaded my stuff and her stuff into her car and we went to the home (there's an old folk's home that was there first, and the retirement village mom lives at rose up around it). Grandma's in the home and can't get around well, so mom reserved the one room for us to have the family Christmas at.
We got there a bit early, but we helped my uncle and his wife set things up. Then the family showed up...ALL of them. Twenty eight people including the two year old and 15 month old! YAY! First time in many years all of us were together at Christmas.
We ate our fill. We gave gifts to the 7 youngest cousins, and some to each other. And a few to grandma. We sat and socialized. And then, about three hours later, we packed it all up and left.
Mom and I went back to her cottage, and we were followed by three cars full of people, basically, all the cousins who had yet to see her place. And so she gave them a tour, and we sat and talked a bit. Then they all headed out. I stayed for a short while and chatted with mom, then I too returned home here and unloaded the stuff from my car.
I settled in to watch the Washington-Philadelphia football game, but had a visit from an occasional fuckbuddy. So we had some bedtimesexxyfun. After he left, I watched most of the rest of the game, until at least 11:00pm. The game wasn't over, but it was clear Washington was going to win, and I didn't need to see that. So I went to bed, and being tired, I didn't read or anything, pretty much just turned out the light and went to sleep.
I didn't think to take but one pic during the family Christmas, but others there did take some. Here's one I like:
That's my grandmother with her four kids (Mama Polt is of course second from the left). Not meaning to be in the photo, but there anyway from this angle, is...ME! Wearing the Santa hat (cause I hand out the gifts now) and that's my cousin-in-law Tiffany, with her elf ears hat on too. She's my assistant, and I'm grateful to have her! She gets all the gifts organized by person and then hands them to me to hand to the person. I'd be lost without her organizational skills!

Someone book me a room (Part 360)...
Chapter 12, Page 25...
Christmas Day, I got up about 9:30. I showered, dressed, and packed up my Christmas Gifts for mom. Then I headed on out to her place.
When I got there, she had to finish preparing something for lunch, and then we went into her living room and opened our gifts. This was MY haul, before the unwrapping:
Beautiful purple wrapping paper. Anyway, after the unwrapping, this is what I got:
A mug, some strawberry hand soap, gift card to the local movie theater, Star Trek ornament, Superman ornament, two boxes of White House Annual Christmas Tree ornaments (she's now gotten me each and every one ever made from the start in like 1980 or so), and of course, the YARD OF TWIX! Yes, yes indeed that is a YARD OF TWIX!
I asked what she was thinking giving a YARD OF TWIX to a diabetic! Her reply? "Well it was either Twix or Snickers." HUH? Like one is better than the other for a diabetic???? Ah, well, that's Mama Polt!
I got her a book she wanted, some minutes for her track phone that she wanted, a subscription to a magazine. And then I also got her this:
The daughter of a lady I work with is very artistic. I asked her to paint a picture of mom's house, the one she owned for 49 years and just moved out of this year. I took a crappy photo of it with my cellphone and emailed it to her. And from that (and one visit to the place in person to look at a few things) she painted this. Oh my God, it's amazing! And incredible job! When mom opened it and saw it, she started crying. I teared up too. She asked how I did this, and I told her the story I related above (with a few more details).
I didn't get it framed, because she's pretty picky about the wood in all her frames in one room matching the furniture, the other frames, etc. So I told her, once she figured out where she wanted to hang it, we could take it somewhere and get it framed and I'd pay for it then. She just loved it.
After this, my mother's sister and her husband, and my mother's brother and his wife, arrived, and then the six of us ate Christmas dinner. Mom, as usual, went crazy with the cooking. Turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, homemade bread, cranberry sauce, corn. And for dessert, she had fruit salad, ice cream, two different cakes, and something else I can't remember. Just crazy! After eating this, and cleaning up, we all went into the living room and sat and chatted for a while.
All day, I'd been fighting off a nagging headache. Not something horrible or very painful, just kinda distracting and, well...nagging. So after a little bit of all this, I left and came home. I was supposed to stop by Derick's, but I didn't feel like it, so I texted him and told him. When I got home, I hung out here, on the computer, reading some, napping more than once. And then, at 9, it was time for the Doctor Who Christmas Special. I have not been a fan of the stories the last few years, and I expected very little out of this one as well. But I was very pleasantly surprised. The humor worked, was not forced or irritating and in fact, the entire show was was quite enjoyable. Well, less so the last ten minutes or so, which got sappy. But other than that great show.
Afterwards, I turned everything off down here, went to bed, read a little bit and then went to sleep.

Someone book me a room (Part 359)...
Chapter 12, Page 24...
So Thursday, Christmas Eve, I had to work. Which is not a problem because at work, the holidays are laid back without too many new clients coming in or too may problems. Usually. This year, however, was NOT usual. In any sense of the word.
It was freakin' crazy! There was a total of eight new clients. A few were acting a little strange, one was certainly certifiable. Just crazy shit. And I was supposed to leave work at two (since either the county government or the Big Boss gave civilians two hours off if they worked the last day before the holidays. Which I did.) And it repeatedly looked like that wasn't going to happen. Although, thankfully, in the end, I left about 2:10 instead of 2:00. No problems.
On the plus side, thanks to a co-workers reminding me the day before, I ordered pizzas and had them delivered for the staff at lunch Christmas Eve. (I've done this the last, 4 or 5 years. It's a nice gift to them all, and they all appreciate it) So at least we had pizza for lunch.
But, because of all the chaos earlier in the day, I ended up getting a nagging headache. When I got home, I just hung out here on the couch doing nothing, other than a load of towels through the laundry. I read some. I was on the computer some. I napped a bit.
I wasn't feeling the Christmas spirit. I was still stressed about on going issues here at home. It's crazy warm here, like 70 degrees, on Christmas Eve (but don't worry, Global warming is just a hoax, ask any Republican!), it certainly doesn't feel like Christmas.
But I knew "It's A Wonderful Life" was on this night. So, I had a glass of beers, refilling it once, and I watched the movie. That helped somewhat increase my festiveness. And when it ended, I was ready for bed, going up, reading just a short bit and then going to sleep.

Chapter 12, Page 23...
Wednesday, I had a pretty slow day at work. There was a few things that needed done, and which got done, but there was also a lot of talking among coworkers and having a good time and all that.
After work, I came home and hung out here a bit, just got online and watched some TV and stuff, no biggie. But soon, it was time to leave. And off I went to the movies, to see the new Star Wars, with all 5 ParisPekings and Ghostie as well! And it was an amazing movie. No Spoilers, I promise. But it was a movie worth watching, and it's what the second trilogy of movies should have been!
Coming home after the movie, I went up to bed, read just a short bit and then went to sleep.

(updated...I forgot two important things from this day)
Tuesday, I got up and to work with little problem. My one coworker is off until after the fist of the year. The other coworker in my department and I are only working together one day each week. Otherwise, we're both working alone. Tuesday is the day we're together. So while he took care of the new clients, I got done the weekly paperwork that needed to be completed. And I did get it all done. For lunch, my coworker Frigga and I went back to Panera. It was great to get out of the building for a short while, and of course, Panera has better food than anything they have at work.
After work, I stopped and got a few things on the way home that I needed from a few different stores. Then, when I got home, I hung out here doing basically nothing at all. I read some, watched some TV, was on the computer. The usual.
I got a text from one of my fuckbuddies, and even though I wasn't really feeling like playing around, it had been a while since he'd been here, so I told him to come on over. And then some pretty good bedtimesexxyfun commenced. And once he left, I went back to doing the 'basically nothing at all' i mentioned above.
After a bit, about 9PM, I decided it was time for bed. So I went up to bed, read a little bit and then went to sleep.

Chapter 12, Page 21...
Monday, I got up about 830, showered, dressed and headed out for my appointment. I had my quarterly checkup with my doctor. Everything went fine, it took like only a half hour. I found out my A1C was down to 7.6 (check out the chart below). Great news there!
Afterwards, mom came and picked me up. We had the cookies, fudge, peanut brittle, and homemade garlic pretzels in the car, and we went over to work, where they were having the annual Christmas Party. We put her stuff on the dessert table, and then ate lunch there. With my coworkers. What fun that was. We were there for about 45 minutes, and then left.
We went to the mall, mom got some things she needed. Then we went to the local used bookstore, where we both looked for something, but didn't find anything we wanted. We went to the grocery store, where I got a few things, and then we came back here. I unloaded the car, and mom went on home. I spent the remainder of the day laying around the house, in my lay-around-the-house jammies. I watched TV, was on the computer, read my book and waited for the Monday Night Football pregame to start. I watched that and some of the game, and then went up to bed and to sleep.

Chapter 12, Page 20...
This morning, I got up, showered, dressed, bought my morning Rutters coffee and then headed out to the ParisPeking household. There (and waiting outside because he was eager to leave the 'leper colony' his house had become) was A Local Celebrity, Mr. David ParisPeking. We were talking out annual Christmas shopping pilgrimage. (And yes, we WERE doing it on the Sunday before Christmas because someone is trying to become a 'Doctor' and had classes or tests or papers or some such excuse and we couldn't go any earlier in the month. But I digress....)
Instead of going farther away, like to York or Lancaster PA, or Annapolis MD, or Roanoke, VA, we just drove across the mountain to Frederick. We HE drove, cause I'm not driving near a mall the weekend before Christmas. So we drove through McDonald's for some breakfast. Then getting to Frederick, he took me to the school he's a vice-principal at. And showed me the current school, and the one they're building behind it. The one behind will eventually become the school and the current one will become a parking lot. But it was nice to see it anyway.
After this, we went to, in no particular order, Kohls, Best Buy, Barnes&Noble, walked through the mall, to the comic book store, and then finally, to aka Friscos. Delicious meal, as always. Also, every freakin guy that was working there, like all 6 of them, were freakin HOTT! Yes, with two T's! Amazing. Oh, and the place was packed with people, even though we got there after 1 in the afternoon to eat. We still managed to get a booth to sit in and enjoy our meal. (Well half of it, in my case, I had to bring half the sandwich home).
After this, we returned back to his place. I transferred my purchases to my car and started for home. I didn't make it directly, because I just went right back out to mom's cottage. Once there, she and I packed up the stuff for tomorrow. For the last ten years or more, she and I have taken her homemade cookies, fudge, brittle and other goodies into work and distributed them at various places around work for my coworkers to enjoy. We also did this on the Monday before Christmas (since I have off that day). Well this year, they were having the Christmas party lunch on that day, so she and I are just taking her goodies to the party, putting them on the buffet with everything else, and then we'll each lunch there too. But together we had to pack up the goodies, and that's what I did out there.
Following this, I came home, changed into my lay-around-the-house clothes and vegged out watching football. Although, later in the evening, I did succeed in wrapped gifts....nineteen of them suckers, before I got tired and stopped. I think I'll take care of the rest one other night this week.
At about halftime, I was tired, so I just went to up to bed, read a little and then turned out the light and went to sleep.

Chapter 12, Page 19...
Saturday, I got up and to work with no problem. My stomach was still a little rough from the nacho bar/alcohol Friday night. And I knew at lunch they were serving chili and rice. So when I got my coffee from Rutters, I also order a ham and swiss on white with mayo, a nice innocuous lunch meal.
Work wasn't much of a problem. I did all the new clients in the morning, then in the after putzed around with paperwork and such and talked to coworkers. Not a bad day, all in all.
After work, as planned, I went right to mom's. I picked her up and we went to Sheetz. She had a card for 30 cents a gallon off gas, and she had just filled her car up. So, since I was at a quarter tank left, we filled up mine. I got gas for $1.82 a gallon. Sweet. Then, since we were out there, we ate supper at Applebees. It was a nice meal, nothing to rave about, but nice. We hit Wal-Mart for a few things, and then I took her home afterwards.
I came home and waited. A Local Celebrity, Mr. David ParisPeking was supposed to come over and we'd watch the Jets-Cowboys game together. But he call about an hour or so ahead of time to say the three girls had had the stomach flu and were puking and pooping all over the place, and NOW, Susan had started coming down with it. So he was just going to stay home and take of his girls and his wife.
So I watched the football game by myself. All the way to the disappointing, but not at all surprising, ending: a loss for Dallas in the last two minutes. After this, since it was nearly 11;30, I watched the first half of SNL, and then went to bed. Didn't read buy a few moments, turned out the light and went to sleep.

Chapter 12, Page 18...
Friday, I got to work without problem. I was the only one there that day from my department. There wasn't a whole lot of new stuff to do, what there was I did. But there were also old, regular paperwork to do. Nothing exciting there.
After work, I came home and hung out here a bit reading and on the computer, until it was time to head out. My friend was having her annual Christmas/birthday party. I got there when it started at 7pm. Because I had to work Saturday, I left about 930. I had a beer and, as I traditionally have to every year, I had wine in a box out of a measuring cup. Michelle, my friend, had a nacho bar there for us to eat: nachos, taco meat, salsa, black beans, lettuce, tomatos, shredded cheese, a melted cheese thing, and other things I can't now recall. At any rate, I made a huge heaping plate of this stuff and ate it, and it was SO delicious, I had a second heaping plate of it! And I hung out with people there, and chatted and had a pretty great time.
But as I said, I had to work the next day, so I left and came home, getting here a bit before 10. I got on the computer for a very short time and then went up to bed. But because of the two plates of nacho stuff and the alcohol, my stomach was roiling and rolling. So I took some Mylanta, just in case. Went to bed, read some and then went to sleep. And thankfully, I had no problems with stomach issues.

Chapter 12, Page 17...
Thursday, I got to work a smidge late (again). I had the normal weekly paperwork to get done, which I did. It wasn't a bad day. Got gifts from the two coworkers in my department (I had taken my gifts in to them on Tuesday). It rained all day, but I didn't get upset about it because it was unseasonably warm as well. Had this been a normal December, it very well COULD have been snowing all day!
After work, I came home for a very short bit and then headed out again to mom's. We were going to eat up at the dining hall at the manor there. When I got there, she had to show me all the decorating she had done...pretty much every room but her bedroom had some sort of decoration in it. Which is kinda surprising, since in the last couple years, she didn't do too much decorating at all around the house.
After this, instead of going to the Manor right away (because our reservation was a little ways off), we went to the Dollar Store and got a large, aluminum tray you can cook a turkey in. We're going to use that to fill up with cookies, brittle, candy, etc, when we bring it all into my work for my coworkers, like we have for, maybe the last ten years or so. After getting that, off we went to the Manor.
We had, as always, amazing food. I had pork tenderloin, mac and cheese and green beans. She had chicken parm with broccoli. And as always the salad bar for both of us. The salad bar, though small, is always very good. And so were the main courses.
Afterwards, I took her home, we chatted a little bit and then I left and came home. When I got there, watched some football pregame and putzed around on the computer. Wednesday, I again got to work a bit late, but had a pretty decent day, even though I had a meeting, it wasn't a problem at all. The whole day at work was really just kinda....blah. but I did get done things that needed to be done.
After work, I came home and hung out. I had picked up a sub on the way home and I ate that for supper. Yummy! I changing into my lay-around-the-house clothes and proceeded to do just that. Was on the computer a bit, was going to read some, BUT, I got a call. From Diego, my friend in NYC! We didn't talk for 6 hours this time. No, we only talked for 3 and a half hours! And it didn't seem anywhere near that long. Time just flies by when we're on the phone. He's just such an interesting individual! I'm really glad we got to talking.
Finally, about 11:15, I had to shut us down again so I could get to sleep to get to work. And so we said our goodbyes and I went to bed....and laid there. Couldnt get to sleep at ALL. ARGH. Finally, sometime after 1:45 ish, I think, I went to sleep. And I slept GOOD! I didn't wake up at all until the alarm went off at 6:15 am.

Tuesday, I got up and to work, arriving just a little bit late. I had the normal weekly paperwork to get completed, which I did without problem. It wasn't an altogether bad day.
During the day, I recieved and email message from the guy I met last week (35, 6'4, lean, ripped, we met outside on his back porch and had our bedtimesexxyfun there) (for clarity's sake, from now on, he shall be called BP). He was asking if I was free that evening. PFFFFT, for him, of COURSE I'm free! We decided on a bit after 7pm cause he had to put his daughter to bed first.
After work, I drove across town and got my monthly cut-n-color. All went well there too. I came home and hung out here until about 7pm when I sent him an email asking if it was good to come out now. Damn email, there's some kinda issue with it, cause about 740, I get an email from him asking if I'm still coming out! GEEZ! I went out right then. And once again, we had some pretty awesome bedtimesexxyfun on his back porch. (Im just glad it's been unseasonably warmer this December...he had a portable heater running while we played, but honestly, as it gets colder, I dont think I'm gonna be able to play outside like that).
Afterwards, I came home, read some, putzed around a bit online and had a pretty decent evening. Then I went to bed, read a little bit more and then went to sleep.

Someone book me a room (Part 249)...
Chapter 12, Page 14...
Monday, I got up a bit early, for a Monday, showered, dressed and then headed out. I went to the hospital to get blood taken. no problem registering, not a long wait (and since I had my book with me, I dont think I would noticed a long wait anyway), and no pain from needle. All in all, a good trip.
I then went to the Post Office to mail a package. When I got there, I was 5th in line, with the guy at the counter have like 18 packages. When he left the counter, there were like 7 people in line behind me. They only had one window open! And what, I heard someone say, was predicted to be the busiest day of the year for mailing things. *SIGH*
Anyway, after this, I came home and just hug out. I had leftover pizza. I talked to the neighbors some. I read my book. I was on the computer. Later in the afternoon, a fuckbuddy came by for some bedtimesexxyfun. After he left, I just did more of the same. Oh, I did manage to wrap two gifts up. I'm doing a few each day, makes it easier, I think. Then I sat down to watch the Monday Night Football pre-game and some of the game.
For supper, I had some ring bologna, some cheese and some celery with ranch dressing. And that was it. Not a lot of carbs there at all. And I went up to bed a bit before 9, read some, and then turned out the light and went to sleep.
about 1:30, I woke up to use the bathroom, and, as a few times before, I felt a bit dizzy, my face felt clammy, I felt a bit out of sorts. So I went downstairs and checked my blood sugar: 51. Wow, that's low!
So i had some more bologna and cheese, but this time I had chips with it. And I had a box of Russell Stovers candy as well. I ate this while reading my book, and I ended up having 6 pieces of chocolate. Then, feeling better, I went up to bed and soon to sleep.
But, about 4am, I woke up because I had acid reflux: I could taste the bile in the back of my throat. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, considering how much junk I had eaten just a few hours earlier, and how I'd been laying down the entire time after that. Not surprising at all. So i got out of bed and went and drank some Mylanta. I was going to go sleep in a recliner downstairs (this is what I had to do before. When I was heavier, I'd get this like 2-3 times a year. Since I've lost some weight, since I've been in the house, I think this is only the 2nd time this has happened over the past six years), I went back to bed, piled the pillows under my upper back and head and laid there. It was uncomfortable, but at least there was no bile rising in my throat. And I eventually, sometimes after that, did manage to get to sleep.

Someone book me a room (Part 348)...
Chapter 12, Page 13...
Not a lot to report for Sunday. I didn't even bother to shower. I got out of bed after 10:00. Came downstairs, got on the computer, turned on the TV and started watching football stuff. I ordered pizza from Dominos for lunch, had a couple slices of that. For supper I had some of mom's homemade chili. Other than that.....nothing.
I watched football day long. I read some. I was on the computer. I DID do two loads of laundry and I wrapped up a few gifts and got a package ready for mailing on Monday. But other than that....nothing. A wasted day. Course, we all need a wasted day now and again, but sometimes I feel I have more of those than the average person....

Someone book me a room (Part 347)...
Chapter 12, Page 12...
Saturday, despite not going to sleep until probably 1am, I still managed to get up and get to work on time. It was a busy morning, with 9 new clients I had to take care of, but I got most of that completed by noon. Afternoon, it was just catching up on leftover paperwork.
After work, I went to Derick's as planned and we had some quick bedtimesexxyfun. I stopped at Taco Bell then and got some food for supper. Upon coming home, I ate it and then didn't really do anything all night. I was on the computer. I read my book. I watched some Star Trek movies. I watched some online porn and then got ahold of the guy who had come over on Monday and he came over again and there was a bit of extra bedtimesexxyfun. I watched more TV. And then, since I was tired, I went up to bed, read some and then went to sleep.
