It's warm outside but not hot like Satan's taint like it has been over the last couple weeks.  So this afternoon I decided to take a walk. I walked 1.21 miles in 26 minutes.

Today, I took a walk. It was warm, sunny and breezy, the perfect conditions for a walk.   I walked 1.24 miles in 25 minutes. 

Seen on today's walk: I don't get garbage cans.  I just put the garbage bag out along the curb, the trashmen come by pick it up and ba-dum ba-ding, it's all done.  But some people put out the bags in cans for reasons I can't understand.   Then the garbage men come by AFTER the home owner has gone to work and/or the kids to school, so you get this: 

It's like a slalom or an obstacle course for pedestrians...like me.  If these people had just put the bags out, the sidewalks would be clear.

Today, I took the first walk of 2026.  It wasn't a long walk, it was cold outside, there was a slight breeze, and it was getting dark.  But I walked 1.11 miles in 22 minutes. 

Seen on today's walk: not much to see on a cold January day, but here's me in my new Dallas tuque given to me at Christmas by The ParisPekings.

Today I walked 1.28 miles in 28 minutes.  I went to the Market In The Park and then wanted to go to a local bookstore, but it was closed.   I think just went home.

Seen on today's walk: The Market In The Park (on the opposite side of the street behind the food truck).  On the way home, I saw the Waynesboro sign as well as a map of Downtown Waynesboro.

Yesterday (in 90 degree heat) I took a walk to a local grocery store for some things.  I walked 1.24 miles in 28 minutes.

Today, for the first time in 2 months (God, I'm such a slacker) I took a walk.  It was a short one, only a mile, but it was a walk nonetheless.  It was 1 mile in 20 minutes.

Yesterday, I took, for the first time in nearly two months (God I'm slacking) a walk to the Post Office and then to Waynesburger for a burger and then home to eat it.   I walked 1.35 miles in 26 minutes.

Seen on today's walk: It's summer.  It's nice outside.  Sometimes you want to sleep outside under the stars.   If you do, you'll want to do it in comfort.  So you'll need an Outside Mattress, like this one here.  Everyone should have an Outside Mattress, don't you think?

Yesterday I walked 1.31 miles in 28 minutes. 

Seen on yesterday's walk: The houses that burned 2.5 weeks ago in my town.  Terrible fire.  Had fire trucks from all over the area and multiple towns.   Smoke everywhere in the area (it's like a block and a half from my house).

Today, I walked 1.44 miles in 30 minutes. 

Seen on today's walk: This sidewalk.  Years ago, when I a kid walking to school, it was made up of hexagonal concrete tiles.  Those fell apart and wore away, kinda like these are.  At some point, it was replaced with these concrete tiles. I'm not sure how the homeowners have gotten with not having a solid concrete sidewalk, like everywhere else in town.  But I like this.  It's unique.

Today, I walked 1.98 miles in 40 minutes. 

Seen on today's walk: A lil bird's egg just sitting on the sidewalk.  Didn't see any nests or birds anywhere nearby.  Presumably, the egg is unfertilized, or the bird inside is dead.  But I just have to wonder where it came from.

Today I walked 1.83 miles in 39 minutes. 

Seen on today's walk: One of the alleyways in town needs some serious work (well, frankly, all of them do) and through the potholes you can see the brickwork that made up the original streets.  Woulda made for some pretty damn bumpy carriage rides, I assume.

I had some bills I paid earlier, so tonight, at 10pm, I walked them to Post Office.  I walked 1.39 miles in 28 minutes.

Today I had some things to mail, so after work, I walked over to the Post Office and home.  I walked 1.35 miles in 28 minutes. 

Seen on today's walk: Two lil purple flower blossoms on a single vine growing over the gate in a wrought iron fence.  Like a metaphor for nature always conquering man, or there's beauty in even the most mundane things, or something like that.  What do I know, I'm not a poet.
