If you're on my list, it's only a matter of time (Part 22)...

10 Questions

This week, we have Josh.

Josh didn't send me a blurb about himself, but then again, did he need to?  Everyone knows Josh, right?  Including this chick in the pic with him...probably just some stranger he met on the street. :)

1. Can you poop in public restrooms or are you poo-shy?
Don't mind that horrible scent.  That's just me crapping in public.
2. How often do you shave your face/legs?
I only shave my face when it gets to the point that strangers on the street begin making fun of my teenager dirt-stache.  And shave my legs?!  What a waste of time!  I'd rather do one of the following activities: a) Throw fire flames; b) Have wheelies race up my spine; c) Sip on gin & prunes; d) Be the toilet of your dreams; or e) Work on getting tans on my legs (and not on my face, obv).
3. How many of your ascendants are living & how many do you have memories of?
My parents are alive.  All grandparents are dead.  They all died when I was super young, though childhood photos of me seem to show that I did love sitting on my grandpa's lap and smiling like and idiot.
4. What is the highest level math course you've taken?
U + Me = Us (Calculus)
5. What was the last thing you painted?
The town red, of course.  HAHAHAhahOMFGIAMFUNNYhahahahahaHAHAHAhahahHAahahhufzsdguywagrq3yuwatbfshdffuywaetgbfuysvdcfbweuyszfbvsdvI'mSoCRaZzZzZyAnDWiLDfsdszejgjustkiddingi'mactuallyverylonelyandboringandnoonelikesmefnhdghidrgnohgodi'msoaloneshfHAHAHHAHAHAHAH!
6. How many tattoos do you have and want?
I have none...TOO EXPENSIVE.  But I DO want one around my ankle of the alphabet.  Maybe I'll win the lottery so I can afford it.  My boyfriend has like 10 or something, including sleeves on his arms, so I'll let him carry the ink in this relationship.
7. When was the last time you were REALLY angry and why?
When I bought Ke$ha's new album 'Warrior' two weeks ago and got to the song "Wonderland".  I thought that with the song titles, the acoustic guitar intro, and the fact that I love Ke$ha most when she exposes her sensitive side that I would FALL IN LOVE WITH this tune.  But as soon as I was done listening to the song the first time through, I threw up everywhere over how boring and uneventful and soul-less it turned out to be!  UG!  The rage that comes with being disappointed by a musical artist you liked is unparalleled!
8. How many cars have you owned and what were they?
One!  My tri-color '91 Subaru Loyale that made countless cameos in the YouTube videos over the years.  When I moved to NYC, I sold it for $300 to some terrifying creeps I found on Craigslist that likely used it in some sort of illegal drug activities.
9. Do you have a fat ass in either a good for bad way?
To quote Lucille Bluth: "I don't understand the question, and I won't respond to it."
10. What is the design, color and look of your Welcome Mat?
A full color remake of one of my favorite photos of all time:

There, now isn't it nice to know Josh a little better?

POLT

PS, yes, I know that's actually Pink...at least I think it is....at least I hope it is, since I said it was here.....could be funnier if is isn't.....

10 Questions

This week, kids, we've got......

Paul

Hello kids, I'm Paul, also once known as The Swirl.  I was once part of the Puntabugang which has since disbanded.  I believe that history will blame Yoko Ono.  I was also a Private in the Cocky& Rude Army, which was disbanded after Don't Ask Don't Tell was repealed.  No one asked but everyone told, after that we just couldn't look at each other anymore.  Finally, I am the Paul with the Insanely Cute Boyfriend Travis.

1. Have you ever sued anyone or been sued by anyone?
Not yet, but give it time.
2. What is the last sporting event you attended?
A Yankee game sometime before 9-11.
3. How often do you shave your legs/face?
I don't shave either anymore.
4. Toilet Paper: Folded, wrapped around your hand, or wadded up?
Folded.
5. How many continents have you been on?
Just one, since the Caribbean Islands are in North America.
6. Have you ever had your identity stolen?
No.  There was a fraudulent charge on one of my credit cards.  I'm just not worth stealing.
7. If you could take a week's vacation anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Amsterdam.  I've always wanted to go there.

8. Who was your first celebrity crush?
Willie Ames, too bad he didn't age very well,  but in 1979 his eight would have been enough!
9. What allergies do you have?
Tree pollen and bullshit.
10. Which actor who played James Bond, was the best?
Sean Connery was the best Bond, but Daniel Craig is the best looking Bond.

There, now isn't it nice to know Paul a little better?

10 Questions

This week, kids, we've got 10 Questions from someone we haven't heard from in a while:

MARK

I'm a relic of the Puntabulous days.  I was a frequent commenter (read "annoying"), but loved the community.  I try to keep a low profile now, but still try to keep up (read "stalk") all of my Puntabulous friends, including my favorite bottom, Polt!

1. What is the farthest in each direction, North, South, East and West, from your home have you been?
North: Richmond VA
South: Miami
East: Nassau, Bahamas (that is east of Virginia, right?)
West: Califonia
2. When were you last REALLY angry, and why?
When I was channel surfing and came across a Faux News show.  The reason why, should be obvious.  And then there was that time when I considered murdering my lying, cheating, scum of the earth boyfriend, but that was sooo long ago.
3. In what religion were you raised and what religion, if any, do you believe in now?
Raised Southern Baptist.  Still believe in a Creative Force (the life force inside me can't just be random)
4. What is one thing you would NEVER do, no matter what?
Just one?  There are so many to choose from, but I'll go with a threesome with Gary Busey and Hillary Clinton.
5. How many computers have you owned?
Four, I think.  My first was in 1998, my most recent in 2010.
6. What is your favorite vegetable?
Is succotash a vegetable?
7. Who was your first celebrity crush?
OMG, there have been so many, but the first I can remember was Shaun Cassidy, one half of the Hardy Boys.  Now I look at pics of him back then and think, "What the HELL was I thinking?"
8. Which character from The Lord Of The Rings are you most similar to?
The What of the Who???
9. Which was better: Bewitched or I Dream Of Jeannie?
Bewitched was a better show, but a young Larry Hagman gave me more confusing boners that I didn't fully understand.
10. What is your favorite card game?
Solitaire or course.

Now, we know the somewhat elusive Mark a lil better!

Remember, if you want to play along and haven't, send me an email or leave a comment.

10 Questions

After a week's break for the Thanksgiving holiday, we're back.  And today, we've got...

Enrico!

Enrico is one-half of the famous singing duo Jo$hr!co.  When he's not busy writing hot songs, he enjoys reading, watching RuPaul's Drag Race, and eating Velveeta macaroni and cheese.  He's really good at limbo, bowling, cooking, and anything else he tries.  He has never been wrong, ever.  He's not like any other boy you dated.

1. Have you ever sued someone and have you ever been sued?
No, but when Kalil tried to break my Boy Scouts boxcar in 5th grade, I told him I was going to sue him and then he didn't break it.
2. How many tattoos do you have and/or want?
I have none and want two: Fleetwood Mac lyrics ("Never have I been a blue, calm sea/I have always been a storm") and Rhonetta shooting fire flames at you.
3. What was your first pet and it's name, and what is your most recent pet and it's name?
The first pet I remember having was my dog Faith, who was a German Shepart and Husky mix.  She got too big for our apartment so my mom gave her to some farmer so she would have a field to run around in.  My most recent pet was a mean hamster named Sally Seaton, who tried to front like she was better than Richard Parker, but she obviously wasn't cause she only live for like 5 months.
4. Who is someone who shares your birthday?
Vanessa Hudgens - same month, day, and year.
5. If you were to take a week vacation anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If this an all expenses paid trip, I'd go to Japan.  If I had to pay, I'd go to Josh's apartment.
6. How many credit cards do you currently own?
Just one.  I got it in college and it started with a $5K limit, but then I only spent $20 on it a month so they lowered my limit to $500 and I cried.
7. Do you make your bed everytime you get out of it?
I only make my bed when I have company.
8. When were you last REALLY angry and why?
I don't get angry that often, so it might have been in high school.  I was pretty peeved that Lady Gaga sold her album for 99 cents and therefore sold 1 million in a week.  I got pretty defensive when it comes to music and records and all that, especially when someone gets an accolade through unfair methods.
9. When was the last time you vomited?
The other day!! I was really sick a few weeks ago.  I woke up feeling nauseous but it kind of passed so I started taking a shower.  I was in the shower, singing Taylor Swift's "Treacherous" when suddenly I to vom.  So i jumped out, vommed, then picked up right where I left off with the song.
10. What would you title your autobiography?
This is a super hard question.  Maybe "Boy From The Gutter" or "Tomato Sacks".  I already know that I would title my first album "No Applause" though.

There, now we all know Enrico just a little better!

Remember, if you want to do this, and haven't let me know yet, just send me an email, or leave a comment here.

10 Questions

This week, kids, we've got another celebrity!  And let me remind you all that I do NOT choose the photos or write the blurbs, they are done by the answerers....so that may explain a bit below....

A Local Celebrity, Mr. David ParisPeking

From a town known as Wheeling, West Virginia rode a boy with a six-gun in his hand.  And his daring life of crime made him a legend in his time.  East and West of the Rio Grande.  Now, how's that for a blurb?  I'm excited to get a word in edge wise on The Palace.  Even though Polt did offer me up a weekly posting once but my general lack of follow through brought that to a crashing halt...so for now we're going to have to go with this....

1. What's the highest level math class you've taken?
Some stat/research course I had to take when I got my masters.  It sucked...badly.
2. How many newspapers do you read?
No actual papers, but I read the Herald Mail (Hagerstown, MD), Gazette (Frederick, MD) and Frederick News Post online.  The latter has more spelling and grammatical mistakes than this posting.
3. What was the last thing you painted?
My eldest daughter's bedroom.
4. When you were growing up, what was the first thing you wanted to be as an adult?
A marine biologist.  Don't ask me why.
5. The Beatles or The Stone?
Since my two choices are a bunch of pot smoking hippies, I will go with a third and 4th option: Melissa Etheridge and Tori Amos.
6. What type of abode do you live in now & do you own it, rent, sublet, etc?
A very very very fine house, with two cats out in the yard.
7. What is your usual salad dressing?
Ranch.
8. How many cities have you lived in & how many states?
Annapolis, MD; Shepardstown, WV; Martinsburg WV, Hagerstown MD
9. Have you/would you ever wear a Speedo/bikini?
I don't think the world is ready for such a thing.
10. If you could live the life an anyone now dead, without changing anything, who would it be?
Marty McFly.  Because I could drive a time traveling DeLorean and be a total badass in 1955, 1985, 2015 and 1885.

So, ALCMDPP is known better to all his fans!  And remember, if any of you want to play along, and have not let me know yet, please do so!

10 Questions

This week, we have my friend, co-worker, former Glee-date, repeated Gay Pride Parade partner and reoccurring fixer of my computer: Stratcat!

I write an unknown blog titled "The Dog Ate My Sofa" that basically is about a whole lot of nothing regarding my life, family, friends, faith, weight loss and Kevin Spacey (yeah, I have a "thing" for him - don't judge me); Oh and I have the very privilege of working with Polt and only living a hop, skip and jump away from him!

1. When was the last time you vomited?
I avoid vomiting at all costs, however, sometimes it can't be avoided.  Though I don't remember when the very last time was, there was a time in hubby and mine's dating days where we went to a bonanza and I drank quite heavily and mixed different drinks.  On the way home, I knew I was going to puke..but I also knew there was a McDonald's bag on the floor of the car, I reached down for it, got it, and puked missing the bag entirely!  Hubby pulled over on the side of I-81 and made me get out and puke.  We laugh about it now!
2. What would you title your autobiography?
All About Me
3. Which of the actors who have played James Bond is the best?
No ands, ifs or buts...Sean Connery!
4. What is the last great book you read?
I read quite often but my best read was The Left Behind Series followed very closely by The Clan of The Cave Bear Series (minus the last book).
5. Which historical figure do you most admire?
Mary Magdalene - she was a sinner and imperfect but was probably the closest person to Jesus proving that he loves everyone, not just those who claim they are perfect.
6. What surgeries have you had?
Only 2 - one to remove a cyst on my uterus and the other a hysterectomy.  Could these questions be any more personal???
7. How many of your ascendants are living and how many do you have memories of?
Any prior to my parents are gone.  I do have memories of both my grandmothers and 2 great uncles.  Both my grandfathers died when I was very young, I don't remember either of them.  I do still have quite a number of aunts, uncles, cousins alive and well.
8. Which character from The Lord Of The Rings movies are you most similar to?
The one that got to have sex with Sean Bean's character...oh wait - that happened in my head while watching the movie.....
9. What color looks best on you?
Black, even though I had a color analysis done once that told me that was my worst color - what do they know????
10. Would you want to be on the next trip to the space station?
Hell no - because my luck we'd get lost and I'd have a claustrophobic meltdown.

So, now we know StratCat a lot better...perhaps a smidge more than we'd like to after some of those answers.... :)

10 Questions

This week, I've got a celebrity (Well at least a Palace celebrity) and a saint to answer these questions.  You all know her, or should from all the talking I do about her, but let's see if we can get to know her a bit better.  This week, I give you...

Mama Polt!

She didn't give me a blurb, but then really, does she NEED one?

1. How many times have you been under anesthesia?
Hmmm, carpal tunnel, my ankle, my knee, and my teeth, so four, I guess.
2.Who shot JR?
I don't know.  I don't remember.  Do we really know?  Who is it? (She's told it's Kristen Shepard) Oh yeah, she was his girlfriend, right?
3. Coke, Pepsi, other or none of the above?
What, am I supposed to tell you which one I like?  Oh, okay.  Coke.
4. Gray hair: keep it, dye it or shave it off?
Oh come on, you know I keep it natural.
5. When playing Monopoly which token do you typically use?
The iron, wouldn't you know?  (laughs)
6. Who was your first celebrity crush?
Pat Boone, but back when he was young and handsome, not now.  I go back a long way, ya know?
7. What was your first pet and it's name and your most recent pet and name?
Well most recent is Angel.  The first was I guess Muffin.  She was a dog.  A miniature collie.  Oh and Angel's a poodle!
8. How many newspapers do you read?
Just the Record Herald. (our local smalltown newspaper)
9. Salt: a little or a lot?
Just a little.
10. In how many jobs have you worked?
Oh my word!  You count them.  Clothing factory.  In the office at Tool Company.  Real estate.  Snak Shop.  Some of these I even worked at the same time.  Secretary at Thompson Oil Company.  Rea & Derrick/People's drugstore.  Secretary at the Sheffield Manor housing development.  Fort Deitrick in the library and the Provost marshal's office.  And down at FEMA, a secretary and then a Budget Tech.  Oh and of COURSE a wife and mother.  Last one was probably the hardest (laughs).  So how many is that?  14?  Okay.

Totally a saint!  AND a celebrity!

10 QUESTIONS

Well, kids, today's 10 Questions is with a newbie, a rookie, a veritable virgin.  He sent me an email saying he's been a long time reader of the Palace, but never commented, and he decided he wanted to play 10 Questions.  And I say, "HUZZAH!"  I say, "Welcome aboard to elite club of Palace Commentators!"  And I say, "Comment more often!"  But enough about what I say, let's hear what he has to say.  I give you all...

Alex M!

Hi there, I'm Alex!  I'm just a shy, unassuming librarian from Louisiana who has been lurking in the shadows of the Palace for about two years now.  I'm pretty down to earth and dorky.  I love to read books (no surprise!) as well as comics, love cartoons of all sorts, and I'm also big into games and road trips (though I haven't traveled as much as I would like).  I'm hoping participating in this will help me be less of a lurker and more active around these parts!

1. If you could live the life of anyone now dead, without changing anything, who would it be?
Nikola Tesla.  Though having a tragic end and being unappreciated in his time, I'd love to experience and know all the things he was able to achieve.
2. What is the farthest in each direction , North, South, East and West, you have traveled from your current home?
North: Hartford, CT (extended family); South: Honduras (where my family is originally from); East: Jackson MS (some field trip); West: Houston (usual hurricane escape destination).
3. What's the most exotic food you've ever eaten?
I guess it's have to be eel or squid.  That doesn't seem too exotic to me though.
4. Have you/would you ever wear a Speedo in public?
Nah.  Though that may change soon, if one of my friends has his way.
5. Do you have a fat ass, in either a good or bad way?
Hah, I've heard that I do.  I'm hoping in the good way!
6. What would you title your autobiography?
Moo.
7. How many brushes with the law have your had and what were they?
I've had on ticket for getting in an accident, and I've had to go to court to dispute another ticket mailed to me despite it being addressed to someone else.
8. When playing Monopoly, which token do you typically use?
I haven't played Monopoly since I was a kid, but I think I was always fond of the dog.
9. How many times have you been under anesthesia?
Twice.  Once for my tonsillectomy and the second time for emergency stitches after the surgery when I woke up with a mouth full of blood.  Ah, memories!
10. Which of the Seven Deadly Sins are you most frequently guilty of?
Pretty difficult, but I think I'd have to stick with Envy.  It prolly would motivate any other sins I may tap into.

And now we should all say hi to Alex and welcome him and invite him to comment frequently!

If you're on my list, it's just a question of time (Part 9)...

10 QUESTIONS

This week, we've got the bunnyman, john!

Hi, I'm john.  Normally I'm the one asking the questions, but this is the Palace and it is Polt's prerogative to ask questions.  Contrary to popular opinion, I am not a small mammal; mammal, for use, but small, not so much.  I like asking questions, music of all kinds, working with paper as an art form and bunnies!  I dislike getting out of bed and have an irrational hatred of nickels, coat hangers and the music of Billy Joel.

john

1. What was your first pet and it's name and what was your most recent pet and it's name?
First, Duke, Boxer-Great Dane mix.  Last: Daisy, my white bunny.
2. Who gave you your last hickey, when and where on your body was it?
My ex-wife.  And where else are you supposed to wear a love bite?  On your neck, Loretta.
3. What color looks best on you?
Probably blue, I get lots of compliments when I wear my aqua shirt.  Apparently it looks good with the gray hair.  I also pull off orange pretty well.
4. How many newspapers do you read?
Zero actual papers, but read a few news sites online.
5. Coffee, tea, or no thank you?
No thank you.  Still can't figure out how something can smell so good and taste so bad.
6. How often do you shave your face/legs?
I shave my face every other day (M-W-F) and go caveman on the weekend.
7. What is your favorite color?
Orange baby.
8. In what religion were you raised and what religion, if any, do you believe in now?
I was raised Catholic and went to Catholic school for primary and secondary school.  I don't believer or support the organization of religion, any religion, or what has been done in the name of them, but I do identify with some of the beliefs of many religions (God is love is not a bad concept) but I don't think any of them have it right.
9. Can you poop in a public restroom or are you poop-shy?
Do I have the ability?  Yes.  Do I like to? No.  Some things should be done in the privacy of one's home.
10. When were you the most afraid ever, in your life?
One of my brothers has a pituitary gland that doesn't work.  It is a manageable condition, but it can cause problems.  One problem is a simple virus can be a major problem.  About six months ago, he got a stomach bug.  He called me with what started as some discomfort but twenty minutes later turned into serious issues and it only got worse.   A call to 911 and an hour later in the hospital, I thought he was going to die.  It is an experience I hope to never relive.

Well, now we all know the man behind the bunny!

And remember, if you want to play along and have not let me know yet, just tell me.  I'll add you to the list.

10 QUESTIONS

About two months ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Paul's Insanely Cute Boyfriend Travis.  I'm not aware that many, if any, of the rest of the group has met him (...well, other than Paul), so with this week's 10 Questions, we'll ALL get to know him a little better!

TRAVIS

1. How many computers have you owned?

3 one of which I broke 5 hrs after buying it -__- the day before I left for my first day of college. I'd gotten broken up with by my first bf a few hours before that and in a rage I threw my phone, breaking it. Didn't slam the lap top wasn't that distraught! Thank god for warranty's. I did cry that first night in my dorm. Hot, alone not one piece of reliable technology and my teenage broken heart.

2. Which of the Ten Commandments have you NOT broken?
Thou shalt not kill. Though if my brother stays any longer that will change.

3. Do you have a fat ass (in either a good or bad way)?
You tell me Polt, you tell me...or you could just ask Paul.

4. Have you lost something important to you and never found it?
Every phone I've ever lost, a few socks, and my dignity...just kidding.

5. Do you prefer Kindle-like things or real books?
Neither I prefer manga.

6. In what religion were you raised, and what religion, if any, do you believe in now?
Baptist I think...I think? Oh pastors never practice what they preach. Just like hearing themselves talk. I believe that I'm here. Don't know how I got here, don't really care as long as I'm here.

7. What allergies do you have?
.:cough:. I am allergic to watermelons, bananas (go figure watermelon and bananas). I'm lactose intolerant AND soy intolerant.

8. What is your usual salad dressing?
Hmmm, I like raspberry vinaigrette, but when i'm not being fancy I like me some french.

9. How many pairs of shoes do you currently own?
Ha, lets say one, because the "two" pair I have are on their final legs...I need to go shoe shopping.

10. Would you ever dance live on nationwide TV?
For money...HELLS YEAH!...for fame...no probably not, I don't think it'd be good for small children.

So there we have it!  Now, aren't we all glad we got to know Paul's Insanely-Cute Boyfriend Travis a little better?  He's like someone you've known all your life now, isn't he?   POLT

It you're on my list, it's just a questions of when (Part 4)...

It's time once again for....

10 Questions!

This week with...truthspew!

I'm Truthspew - aka Tony. I write http://truthspew.wordpress.com - it's more a rant space for me. It started back in 2006 when I started going to hearings on marriage equality and heard all the clerics and bigots try to say it wasn't natural. And it's also a place for me to call out idiot politicians. I love doing that.

1. What allergies do you have?
Trees, grass, botanicals, and mold but not penicillin. I did have a serious reaction to bee and wasp stings at one point, but haven't been stung by one in a very long time so don't know if it still applies. And when I was a kid we didn't have that epi-pen, which meant you pretty much died. Luckily my symptoms weren't life threatening, only enough to make me miserable.
2. Which foreign languages do you speak and which would you like to learn?
Spanish - badly. I can read it flawlessly though - the contextual clues are all there. And Italian too- more read than heard. I'd love to learn how to speak Italian since it is so close to Spanish. And I know enough of Italian that I know when someone is calling someone a crazy bitch. That's fun. Funny story behind that last statement: I'm at the local Italian food place and there's this really annoying woman customer. The woman behind the counter said, in Italian "I wish this crazy bitch would get out of here!" I started laughing and a little more food got into my container that wasn't weighed out.
3. What is your favorite TV show that's no longer on the air?
I'm kind of miffed that Defying Gravity got cancelled. The premise was a little weak though. As to ones going off the air after this season, I will miss Weeds and Breaking Bad. Sensing a them here? A friend of mine likes to refer to the former as a big "fuck you" to suburbia.  I suppose I like seeing seemingly normal people turn into monsters.
4. How much exercise do you get in an average week?
Not a hell of a lot. I walk maybe 15 miles a week which translates to something like 1.5 days of calories burned.
5. Do you make your bed every time you get out of it?
Not always. I'm not a morning person. I'm pretty much on automatic pilot until about 9:15AM.
6. David Beckham: hottie or not?
So not my cup of tea. Same applies with other alleged 'hotties' too. I have an unconventional view.
7. What celebrity do you look like?
Celebrity? I don't really follow them all that much so I can't say who I look like. I'm kind of unique that way. Don't know of any celebrities that have Mediterranean features and hazel eyes.
8. Root canal or just pull the tooth?
Root canal. If you use an endodontist (a word I had to my dictionary so Thunderbird didn't freak on it!) it's painless! Just get an endodontist that doesn't have a serious case of halitosis. And be prepared to pay a lot for it.
9. Salt: a little, a lot, or no thank you, none at all?
Just a little - if you want more you can always add. However I do season pretty well so it's not necessary to add more.
10. Which of the 10 Commandments have you NOT broken?
I actually had to go look them up because my first think through was that I haven't murdered anyone yet.  Everything else is fair game. Considering most of the Decalogue is simply ye old deity setting up respect for itself and you can see where I'm going here.
And  a lot of it doesn't apply - I mean seriously, I'm a gay man. How the hell can I commit adultery by the definition? I can't.
As to stealing - a little larceny - sure. Haven't we all?

And now we all know truthspew a little better!
