Last Sunday (and I can't believe I forgot to do this until now, over a week later), A Local Celebrity, Mr. David ParisPeking and I went and did some last minute shopping. I bought several books.  I'm including them all in there, because some of them are gifts, which I wont be keeping, so they don't count towards my total.  But Beyond Comics was having a sale on a whole cart full of graphic novels, some over 50% off!  And how could I turned THAT kind of deal down? Chapter 11, Page 18...

Wednesday, I got up and to work.  I had more weekly paperwork to get done, and I managed to get it all done.  It was a pretty good day.  After work, my friend Phoenix stopped by. We went to Montezuma's for supper, which, of course, was delicious.

We talked of many things, since it had been a while since we last talked.  One of the things was mom and how she was doing.  So I offered to take him to mom's place and show him around.  I called mom, but I she wasn't home, I had to get her on her cellphone.  She was up at the dining hall getting a meal.  I told her we were coming over, and she could take her time eating, but she said she was going it to go.

So we went to her cottage, I started showing him around and she arrived.  We all sat and talked for a bit while she ate.  She even gave us some of the cookies she made, insisting Phoenix even take some along home with him for his wife.

After a bit, we left and returned here.  We talked for a little bit, and then he left.  I watched an episode or two of House Of Cards, and then went up to bed to read a little bit and then to sleep.

Chapter 11, Page 10...

So, overnight, my stomach began bothering and I made a few trips to the bathroom.  When my alarm went off, I still had an upset tummy, so I called in and took the day off.  Then I went back to sleep almost right away.  I didn't get out of bed until 12:14 pm!  And that's with me going to sleep the night before sometime around 10:30 or so!  I haven't slept that long for quite some time!

When I got up, my stomach felt better, although I still made a few bathroom trips throughout the day.  I didn't even bother to shower all day. I spent the vast majority of the day on the couch.  I was on the computer.  I managed to read over 175 pages, finishing the book I had been reading.  I napped once or twice for short periods.  I watched some TV.  And then I stayed up to watch the new Agents Of SHIELD.  (Good episode, by the way).

After this, I went up to bed, read a little bit and then turned out the light.  Because of all the sleep I had gotten during the day, I not so surprisingly had some trouble going to sleep, but I did so before 11:00 anyway.

Chapter 8, page 3...

Monday, I slept in a bit, not getting up out of bed until like 9ish again.  I did NOT deweed the flower garden, as I didn't see any thistles there the day before.  I did however go out and water the flowers.  I did NOT go to Rutters for breakfast or coffee.  I did, however, have a piece of homemade bread, a hard boiled egg and a bottle of diet Snapple with lemon while I read the paper.

I did some reading and in fact that what I did most of the day.  The book I was reading just totally grabbed me and I read all 385 pages in just two days, over 200 and some just on this day, finishing the thing about 1045 in the evening while laying in bed.

Other than reading, I did a load of laundry, got some things from Wal-Mart and KFC for lunch.  In the last afternoon, I took a walk.  A three mile walk.  It was warm, but not terribly hot, nor humid, but I was sweating up a storm when I got home.  I took my second shower of the day.

I then made a ham slice for supper.  I watched some tv, and then went to bed, and, as I said, read until I finished the book.  And then I went to sleep.

Chapter 3, Page 6....

Got up a half hour early this morning.  After the normal getting ready, I had to start the car up, then shovel just a little bit in front of it when the boro trucks had plowed snow back onto the part I shovled.  No biggie.  And I had to wait for the car to warm up and the frost to get off the windshield.  Then I went to Rutters for coffee and started to work.

The roads were, frankly, horrible.  They were still snow covered, although there were tracks bare down to the bare road to drive in.  But they're ALWAYS bad in Pennsylvania.  And I'm only IN PA for about three minutes before I go into Maryland, where the roads are always better.  So I figured once I got there it would all be good.

WRONG.  The roads were WORSE in Maryland.  Not plowed, everything was just compacted down onto the road, and there were NOT any tracks like in PA.  Couldn't see any lines, had to go slow.  And I passed a snow plow going to other way, and all it was doing was throwing down stones, no plowing!

Eventually, when I reached a small village, the roads were cleared off perfectly, and continued all the way into Hagerstown.  Just as I was used to seeing.  But then once I got INTO Hagerstown itself, well, the roads when right back to what they had been before.  In all my 18 years of working in the same place, I have NEVER seen the roads so bad in Maryland.  They get a Republican, tax-cutting, no spending Governor swore in in January and looks what happens. *SIGH*

Anyway, work itself was pretty light.  I got things accomplished, but I was the only one there from my department, so I would have had to do everything that needed done.  Luckily, like I said, it was pretty light.

I chatted with Louis on Facebook, which was great!  He's back from a nearly month long visit to his homeland, Singapore.  He was off work, trying to get over jet lag and studying for the last of his professional tests.  Once he passes this one, which I'm sure he will in April, he'll have everything competed to become an architect in his own right!  And best of all, he's planning a visit the end of April sometime.  YAY!

Also, Derick, contacted me and asked me to come over, so after work, (when the roads were much MUCH more clearer) I stopped by his place for some bedtimesexxyfun!  And after that, ordered a pizza, picked it up on the way home, and brought it back here to enjoy it.

I got on Netflix, wandered around looking at things (they do NOT have The Shining, nor most of Ken Burn's documentaries on streaming....that's just wrong!), and ended up watching Mr. Peabody And Sherman, which was a cute little entertaining flick.

Following this, some putzing around online, then to bed to read and to sleep.
