I doubt it will be, seriously.  I expect more a dystopian nightmare than a Happy New Year, but one can always hope.

POLT
 SO....

Once again, it's time for the annual housekeeping stats for 2024.  In 2024, in theaters, on DVD, Blu-Ray, TV, and various ROKU Channels, I watched movies, TV shows, mini-series, documentaries, etc,   The total count I saw was 178, 30 less than last year.  I don't know what to attribute the drop to, perhaps more time wasted on the iPhone?  Actually, now that I think about it, it's probably all the time I wasted re-watching things on Pluto (see yesterday's post) or re-watching Doctor Pol on Disney+.  Spent a lot of time doing that.  At any rate, I only saw 2 of them in an actual theater: Deadpool/Wolverine with the ParisPekings in Leitersburg and Escape From NY, I finally saw it in a theater, the Waynesboro Theater, 40 years after it came out.

2024: 178
2023: 208
2022: 207
2021: 135

2004: 95
2003: 120
2002: 101
2001: 75

Average Movies per month this year: 14.75

*******************
Bookwise, I read just 27 books, which is my lowest amount in 18 years.  I think it's because I tackled some thick books with small print and lots of info, which I enjoyed reading, but which weren't easy or quick reads.

2024: 27
2023: 33
2022: 31
2021: 34
2020: 40

2002: 33
2001: 28
2000: 22

Dragonlance: 0
Fantasy: 1
Fiction: 2
History: 9
Movies: 2

And then there's this year's number of book purchases and costs:

My most frequent sex partner, was like most every other year: Derick In Greencastle (he'll keep the name even though he's not living in Greencastle anymore).  But just like last year, despite the lesser times and partners, I was still extra slutty cause there were 7 different days when I had sex with 2 different guys at different times of the day.

And here's a helpful visual aid:
