TRUTH In The Time Of tRump!
On this, the third anniversary of the beginning of one of the darkest, scariest eras in American history, let's look at how things have changed, and compare them to how they did over the previous 8 years.
2020:
The DOW: 29348. So yeah, 10000 point increase. That's good. Not as good as the 13200 increase under Obama, tho.
S&P 500: 3329. So yeah, 1100 point increase. That's good. Not as good as the 1600 increase under Obama, tho.
Unemployment: 3.7% That's a great number....although only a drop of .9%. Not as good as the 5.4% drop under Obama, tho.
Uninsured Adults (as of last Jan., the most recent number I could find): 13.7 %. 1.8 % worse then when tRump took office, but still 4.3% better than when Obama took office.
American cars sold: 17.0 million. Half a million drop from when tRump took office, and nowhere near as good as the 7.1 million INCREASE under Obama.
Deficit % of GDP: 4.6 %, 1.8% worse than when tRump took office, but still 5.2% better than when Obama took office.
Consumer Confidence: 126.5, 28.4 point increase from when tRump took office, but nowhere NEAR the 60.4 point increase from Obama's first day to his last.
So when you hear tRump supporters crowing about how great he's doing, just remember how great we WERE doing...and how not as great we're doing now. (Plus, remember, that Obama inherited a nation in economic free-fall, and left tRump with an already thriving economy).
