Perez Appreciation Post
This is the cover of a magazine I'm fortunate to have, it details the Avengers up until the point it was published (which was in the early 80s). I read it and re-read it, and re-re-read it until it damn near fell apart. The covers, both front and back were by the Maestro George Perez!
The left picture is the cover, and it shows the then current team in front of Avengers Mansion: (on the ground) Scarlet Witch< Captain America, The Wasp and The Beast and (in the air) Iron Man, Vision, and Thor
The right picture is the back cover, and it shows all the members up until that point. IN the middle is the five founding members and surrounding it is other members, not on the front cover. Clockwise from bottom right: Hercules, Jocasta, Ms. Marvel, Mantis, Swordsman, Red Wolf (not technically a member), Moondragon, Black Panther, Jarvis the team butler, Wonder Man, Hellcat, Yellowjacket, Hulk, Silver Surfer (not technically a member either), Black Knight, Tigra, Hawkeye, Rick Jones, Black Wide and Quicksilver
