12 for the 12th
Time for this month's installment.
7:46am
On my way to Miss Cleo, parked in her space behind the house.
7:47am
It was cold this morning. It had been warm over the weekend, like the 60's, but it's gotten cold again. And interestingly enough, apparently when I pull out of the off-street parking area, I'm heading SouthWest!
8:13am
Me, in traffic, in downtown Hagerstown. (And yeah, since I'm supposed to be at work at 8:00, I was late today. But I still made it by 8:30)
11:07am
Lunch at work. Yummy. That's supposed to be "Italian Chicken", but I wouldn't bet my life on it. It really wasn't that bad, just overcoated with stuff. And the veggies were cooked to an inch of becoming mush. But the potatos and gravy were okay, and the gracy softened up the "Italian Chicken" so everything worked out. And yes, that IS Pespi in the cup, not good for diabetics...I know, I know...
3:37pm
I left work a bit early, went and got some quickie 'afternoon delight' (like done in less than a half hour) (and NO, I don't have any photos of that), and then went to Target. I found this for only $5. I've seen it numerous times, but haven't purchased it until now...you don't think they'll take away my gay card for not owning it before now, do you?
3:41pm
I was tempted to buy this notebook because a) it was on sale for 30% off and b) it's got Zac Efron on the cover. I mean who else would want this thing other than 14 year old girls and 41 year old gay men? But I didn't want to make a teenager cry cause she couldn't find one, so I just took the picture and left it there.
3:50pm
A poster of a cute Asian, still in Target. I looked for a price...for either the poster or the cute Asian himself, but had to settle for just the picture.
4:10pm
I stopped a grocery store on the way home and got a salad. The photo of the salad bar is blurry cause there's signs up all over about 'No Photography' so I had to be quick about it.
5:28pm
Dinner! The salad I made, Creamy French salad dressing, and a Pepsi...oh shut up.
6:00pm
I needed to refill my daily pill container thing. I take 11 pills in the morning and two in the evening. They're for my diabetes, cholesteral, aspirin for my heart, a One-A-Day vitamin, and a Claritin for my allergies (that I no longer get, thanks to the Claritin).
7:15pm
I let my subscription to National Geographic expire by accident last year. I renewed it around Christmas. This week, I got the January, February, and March issues all at once. So I sat down to do some reading.
9:55pm
Feeling a bit peckish, I made some toast, one with butter, one with jelly, and some tea (in my Toronto mug, naturally). And I enjoyed them while doing some reading in "Team Of Rivals" that I've been reading.
And after that, I got on here, posted this, and having completed that I am going to bed!

National Geographic huh? The January issue is interesting, so is the December issue if you can get it.
I just had to renew my amateur radio license. Now it's good until 2019.
Allergies, since I don't have med coverage at the moment I had to improvise. Walgreens sells Walitin which is their Claritin. And for the eye drops, well Patanol is $90 for a 5ml bottle. Found a replacement for Patanol called Ketotifen Fumarate which does the same thing, $12.49. And it lasts 12 hours, Patanol is only 6.
Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do.
Steel Magnolias - I approve. Right now I'm watching Beauty Shop (the commercial's on). All hail the Queen.
I wish I could come over and cook you a healthy meal. Or at least buy you some wheat bread : ).
Yeah, y'know, I don't own Steel Magnolias either, and my card ... was taken away after I admitted I don't care for Liza, Bette, Barbra OR Judy.
Nice 12 :)
Well, I've never seen Steel Magnolias but since I'm not a gay man I guess its okay. Ummm, why no photography at the salad bar? Is that really a problem? Other stores stealing their salad bar ideas and profiting from them? That's just weird.
My 14 year old doesn't like Zac, however she did let slip that she thinks Brad Pitt is hot. We seem to be in some kind of weird time warp where she's slavering over the 40 year old and I'm drooling on the 21 year old. We need to fix that I think before one of us gets in trouble.
truthspew:your allergies sound way worse than mine are!
Michelle M.: I think the biggest problem you'd have would be getting me to EAT a healthy meal.
Chris: okay...but do you like madonna? That's the icon of our age. :)
Tam: You and Zac are both legal adults...where's the possiblity of trouble? (and if you DO get him, by God, you better share him!)
HUGS...
I'll have to guess at the afternoon delight, as I'm on a work computer right now!
Steel Magnolias does look a very cheesy chick flick...
Steel Magnolias is full of lies. All gay men are not names Mark, Rick of Steve... That movie has some great quotes and Ouiser and Clairee are hysterical.
I'm digging this series of posts. And I know I shouldn't say this, but dude, Pepsi and diabetes...ooo, not a good combination.
That Pepsi at dinner reminds me of two girls one cup.
And afternoon delight?? Have you been watching Arrested Development?! They have a hilarious episode that prominently features that song!
What fun pix...and as for Zac...sigh, he's so dreamy.
Great photos! I love shopping at Target and the movie Steel Magnolias!
I buy the generic of Claritin at Sam's Club - 180 pills is like $8. It's a great deal.
Ya know, you could try Diet (gasp!) Pepsi or Pepsi One (which is diet but tastes more like real Pepsi). It would save you a ton of carbs each day. Or leave the dark side altogether and go with Diet Coke or Coke Zero!

Wait- was it this kind of afternoon delight?:
6. afternoon delight
A really good, yet not well known, ice cream sundae that has Ice cream(any flavor), chocolate syrup(or hot fudge), strawberry syrup, chocolate Chip Bits, (Sometimes peanuts), Whip cream, and a cherry on top in that order.
The ice cream place down the street has really good afternoon delights.
