MAPS!
Today we have a map showing the Colonial Roads from the Mid-Atlantic Colonies into the Southern ones.
I'm not really sure where this is from, because I can't imagine in Colonial times, there were established roads leading to Knoxville and Montgomery, but it's an interesting map nonetheless.
