Check This Out!
Okay, I know I've had several Check This Out!s up today so far. But then I saw this one, and with all the crap going on in the world, I just wanted to share it.
I cannot attest to the veracity of this story, but I'm repeating it anyway, cause I hope it's true.
Earlier in the year, a family lost one of their kids to cancer. At Halloween, they didn't want kids to come to the door trick-or-treating cause both the parents and the remaining siblings just weren't feeling like celebrating it, understandably, and didn't want to be reminded of it. So instead they put this sign out.
At some point during trick or treat, they noticed kids stopping by and reading the sign. But it was a lot of kids. So after some time, they went out and saw that kids coming by trick-or-treating were laying candy in front of the sign. They were giving up their own candy to the family who had lost a kid to cancer.
Dammit, who's chopping onions?
This just hits me right in the feels. God bless the little children.
