Superman Sundays
There have been several versions of Superboy, and his uniform, over the years. Today we have cosplayers displaying all the different ones.
This is the original Superboy, from his creation in the 50s up until the Crisis did away with Sueprboy entirely, in 1985.
Following the Death Of Superman storyline in the early 90s, four new "Supermen" appeared and took up Superman's mantle until his return. This was that version of Superboy who ws around then. He was a clones of Superman, aged to a teenager, who didn't really have Kyptonian powers, but who had, I think, a bunch of teleknetic pwers which allowed him to mirror Superman's powers (Flight, invulnerability, super-strength, but no vision powers, except for heat vision, which is goggles actually did).
After the previous Superboy's title was canceled, circa 2000, he kinda disappeared, and this Superboy popped up. He too was clone, but with two big differences: he actually HAD Superman's powers and his DNA was not only Superman's but Les Luthor's was in there too. This Superboy didn't want to wear a costume, he wanted to be normal. So Superman moved him in with the Kents, and he was named Conner Kent (as his chosen Kryptonian name was Kon-El), and took up the life of a Smallville high schooler. When he wasn't hanging out with the Teen Titans.
In 2011, DC decided to just fuck over their longtime fans and their entire continuity and reboot the entire comic book line. This was the new Superboy. I remember reading a few issues with him in it, but I remember absolutely nothing about him. Other than his outfit sure does highlight the cssplayers....assets.
And this is the current Superboy. I understand his name is Jon Kent and he's the son of Superman and Lois. As I've not collected a comic book in over ten years, I have no idea if this is true, but it's what I've read.
