Abandoned Places
Apparently (from the article attached to this photo) an Saudi prince bought a bunch of land in Virigina in 1979. In the early 80s, he built this huge mansion: 6 car garage, indoor shooting range, three stories, "living" roofs (grass and flowers planted atop them), I think an indoor swimming pool, a 'safe room', and I forget how many bedrooms and bathrooms. Then, around 2000, he sold it. And it's basically been sitting empty ever since. Such a shame.
It does just reek of 80s gaudiness, though, doesn't it?
