I TOTALLY agree with this. It's shamefully naive to say this in the current political environment. Yes, we can disagree on what the tax rate should be, or how much aid we should be giving to Ukraine, or how much money we should spend on farms subsidies. But the Republicans don't have positions on issue this that. They only have positions on, and harp about, the things listing in the tweet.
If someone's "political opinions" mean that they want to purposefully hurt or cause harm to someone else, usually a marginalized group, then no, we can't just disagree on that. And no, I'm going to have some issues being friends with them.
