Chuck is a guy, does kung fu, gotta score dates at a TV show....

So over the weekend, Chuck Berry died.  And then today, Chuck Barris died!  How crazy!  But here's a lil bit from both.

This is a letter sent to Chuck Berry on his 60th birthday.

Carl Sagan and Ann Druyan told him that his recording of "Johnny Be Goode" is on the gold record attached to Voyager and is now hurtling somewhere out in the abyss of space.  And will be for all eternity.  And those gold records should last a billion years.    What a birthday present, to know that a billion years after your death, your voice will still be able to be heard, somewhere out there....

And as for Chuck Barris, well what he'll be remembered for first and foremost, I think, is The Gong Show.  And what's the best part of the Gong Show?

Why Gene, Gene, The Dancing Machine of course!  And in this clip, there's quite a bit of Chuck himself.

Enjoy.

And godspeed, gentlemen.  May both of your rest in peace.
