Tried to be a mess, tried to do my best (Part 13)...

 Best Of...

So it's Halloween.  Unlike Christmas, there aren't a lot...or any, Halloween Carols.  But what is the best song that could be played on Halloween?

Some might suggest Ghostbusters, by Ray Parker JR.  Others might suggest Thriller, by Michael Jackson.  Others still might suggest Living Dead Girl, by Rob Zombie. And all of those are indeed good suggestions.

However, I think there are three songs that are better for Halloween.

3. Werewolves Of London, by Warren Zevon

Love the piano and the lyrics.  Catchy tune, with potentially scary lyrics.

2. Monster Mash, by Bobby Pickett

Silly?  Yes.  Catchy?  Yes.  Iconic?  Absolutely.  This would be number one, if not for the actual number one.

1. Zombie, by The Cranberries.

Is this really a Halloween song? Probably not, only by the title of the song, perhaps.  But damn, it's such a good song.  And from such a great band.  And it brings back memories of my wayward youth in the 90s.

Ah, well, there's the list!  Hope everyone had a happy Halloween!
