I'm sure we've all heard of the sad passing of Catherine O'Hara.  I've never seen a single episode of Schitt's Creek, but I know her from where I first saw her: SCTV in the early 80s.    What a lineup!

Joe  Flaherty, Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Dave Thomas, Andrea Martin, John Candy and Rick Moranis.  Such great comedy geniuses. 

Sadly, in addition to Catherine O'Hara, Joe Flaherty passed on in 2024.  Ad of course, John Candy died WAY too young in 1994.

On this day, in 1919, 107 years ago, in Georgia, Jackie Robinson was born. 

You can't get much more badass than being the first person of color to break the segregation barrier and play in Major League Baseball.  And way back in 1947 to boot!  But in addition to all that, he Rookie Of The Year, the National League's Most Valuable Player, and played in six World Series!

He passed away in 1972 at the age of just 53.

Getting the US through the Great Depression and World War II is surely badass.  I don't think I need to say anything more.
