Tomorrow is the most important midterm election, if not THE most important election, of my lifetime.  If we don't get some kinda check on tRump, I dont know that we'll even HAVE a country in two years come election time.  If we even have an election then. I mean, if a 'president' says he can changed the Constitution by executive order (the 14th Amendment claptrap he's been spouting) when in fact amending the Constitution requires both houses of Congress and the states to ratify (the president has no direct part in amending it), is that person really a president?  Or is that the speech of a dictator?  And if he decides he can change one part of the Constitution (14th amendment) what's to stop him from changing another part (president's only serve four year terms, or we have regular elections, or we have elections at all?)

Were this a normal election year, we would easily get a sizable majority in the House and have a shot, even a very slight shot at the Senate.  But I believe the Senate is out of reach and I believe we're not even going to take the House.  Because this is not a normal election.

Why is it not normal?  Because of 1) Republican voter suppression tactics (throwing out registrations in Georgia, denying Native Americans the ability to register in North Dakota, voting machines in Texas changing votes from Democrat to Republican, etc).  But more importantly, 2) the Russians are everywhere.  All the national security and intelligence agencies have reported, for over a year, that the Russians have hacked numerous state voting agencies.  And the Republcians in BOTH houses voted down extra money for election security.

The Russians don't want Democrats to have either house, because if they get one, then they can start investigations.  Multiple investigations.  Of anything and everything tRump related.  And those investigations, tRump can't fire the investigators.  And Russia doesn't want anyone else looking into all the connections between tRump and Russia.  So I'm convinced they're going to fix enough votes, change, suppress, deny however much they have to to ensure Republicans retain both houses.  And then their puppet in the White House can continue destroying the country while Putin does whatever he wants to the world.  

But even if Republican voter suppression and Russian hacking does keep them in power, we still need to vote.  If for no other reason than at some point in the future, when your kids or grandkids as what you did to stop tRump, you won't have to lie to them.

So vote as if your life and those of everyone you know depends on it.  Because it just damn well might.
