Second Amendment Sanity
See that red line? That red line is 2004, when the Republican controlled Congress allowed the assault weapons ban to expire. The ban was passed in 1994, but the Democratically controlled Congress and signed by President Clinton. It prohibited the sale and, I think, possession, of assault weapons.
As the chart shows, after the ban expired, mass shooting have skyrocketed.
Now, granted, there's no other info in this chart, no info like an increase in mental health issues, or lack of locked doors in schools, or increase of violent video games, or any other stupid shit the Republicans blame these mass shootings on. But I don't think that matters.
Because this chart clearly shows, once the assault weapon ban ended, mass shooting increased dramatically.
But Republicans, bought and paid for by the NRA, care nothing about doing what's needed to end these mass shootings.

Perez Appreciation Post
Back in the 80s, DC Comics released a super-hero role playing game. It was needlessly complex, I thought. But I didn't know that until after I bought the boxed set and looked it over. But the point of this post is, The Maestro George Perez, drew the cover of the boxed set, which makes sense as he was, at the time, DC;s premiere artist. And this is that cover.
So here we have several heroes: Starfire, Batman, John "Green Lantern" Stewart, Superman, Wonder Woman, Jericho, and Nightwing, surrounded by several villains: Deathstroke, Catwoman, Brainiac, Sinestro, Trigon and the Joker.
And of course, behind them all is the city, in Perez's meticulous details.
