This morning, I had my quarterly check up with the doctor.  My A1C rose, to 8.0.

So, obviously, that's not a good thing, but it's not horrible either, considering January and February are, historically, bad months for me.  It's dark, it's cold, and I do little more than work, eat and sleep. I hibernate like a bear.  And loathe though I am to say anything nice about Daylight Savings Time, with the extra sunlight, it's generally after that that my energy and walking increases (see the three walks in four days last week).

The doctor said I should split my insulin shot now, some in the morning, some in the evening.  We'll see if that makes an improvement.  It should, along with my increased exercise.  But we'll see in three months.
