So, at some point in the last two weeks, my mid lower back has been sore.  It was sore last year after I was hefting 50 pounds bags of sacrete around in my basement.  But that was constant and went away after like three days.  This pain has been sporadic, coming and going, and over a longer period.

It's right about where my kidney is.  And since I'm diabetic, and it may involve a kidney, I didn't want to fart around.  So today I left work at noon and went to my doctor's appointment.

According to him, it sounds like I may have a kidney stone.  Oh joy.  We did some blood work and took a urine sample just get a baseline and make sure there's nothing else going on.  But if the pain gets worse, or continues, then I can possibly have some kind of ct scan to look for the stone.  And well...I don't know what happens after that.

I really just dont want to get stuck in the tube to the bladder.  A lady I work with had a kidney stone do that and she said the pain was worse than when she gave birth.  And there's a guy I worked with who had them years ago and talked of the excruciating pain.   Something to look forward to, assuredly.

But hopefully this doesn't turn into anything serious like that.
