Superhero Anydays
Today we have the splash page (aka the first page of a comic book) from and early issue of the All-Star Squadron, and it shows a bunch of members of the World War II era, Earth-2 All-Star Squadron, flying, apparently, to battle the Japanese villain Dragon King!
Roughly, from top to bottom, and roughly left to right....
Johnny Thunder, riding his Thunderbolt; Firebrand and the Shining Knight riding the Knight's winged horse, Victory.
Being carried by the glowing power of The Spectre, we have Liberty Belle, Dr. Mid-Nite, Sandman and Johnny Quick
Carried by Starman's Cosmic Rod we have The Flash and The Atom
In her invisible jet, flies Wonder Woman
Robotman rides on the back of Dr. Fate
Superman and Hawkman fly under their own power.
And Green Lantern carries Batman and Robin
