I would not sell my collection, for if I did I would cry (Part 102)....

Today In The History Of Polt's Comic Book Collection

This month, we're going back 16 years to May of 2008, and DC Comics' Action Comic #863.

The Legion Of Super-Heroes has always been one of my favorite titles/groups.  But in 1989, the 30 year history of the team basically ended.  There was a title that took place 5 years after that.  Then there was a reboot which was kinda cartoonish (known as the Archie Legion due to the similarity).  I enjoyed that series, but it wasn't MY Legion.  And when that one ended they did ANOTHER reboot, this one starring Supergirl and honestly, not terribly good in my opinion.  It seem for nearly 20 years the Legion just drifted.

Then, in 2007, the great Geoff Johns and the amazing Gary Frank restarted the Legion, not rebooted it.  The team from 1989 had aged, they were now adults, and they had matured and moved onwards and changed, but were still the Legion...MY Legion.  It unfortunately wouldn't last all that long.

But it was great while it lasted.  And it started in Action Comics, before the team got their own title again.  There was a run in Action featuring them and Superman.  And this issue was one of that run.
