I took the road less traveled by (Part 2264)....

 MAPS!

Today's map shows this morning's Memorial Day Parade.

It starts on the west end of town, travels 6 blocks east right down Main Street, then, at the Post Office on Broad Street, takes a right turn and travels 3 blooks south to Memorial Park, where the Parade disbands.

However, there is an area there that had names listed of town residents who died in each war, divided up by the wars, going back to, I think, the Civil War (Civil War, Spanish-American War, WWI, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, Desert Storm, Iraq War, and Afghanistan).  There, there will be a Memorial Service, with speeches, and singing and other things.  It'll take about an hour.

I plan on going to the Parade, like most years. But I won't go to the Service, never really have.
