Today, I saw online a book a wanted so I went to Bookshop.org (a place made up of small independent bookstores, helping them, and putting money into their pockets instead of Amazon, go check them out for your book needs) and ordered...along with two others.

Oh this date, in 1901, in Kansas City, Ub Iwerks was born.

Who? What? Who is that and why is he a badass?

Well, he was an inventor and animator who collaborated with Walt Disney on several projects, including the Skeleton Dance and Steamboat Willie, and in face he was instrumental in the creation of Mickey Mouse! Despite a brief split with Disney in 1930, they reunited and Ub worked on special effects for the company. He passed away in 1971.

Having a part in the creation of one of the best well-known fictional characters of the 20th Century surely proves he's a Badass....if not a well known one.
