Today, by of course The Maestro George Perez, we have the cover of an Avengers collection, showing the lineup from the late 70s, one of, in my opinion, the best lineups they ever had. 

Clockwise from upper left: Thor, Vision, Ms. Marvel, Iron Man, Black Panther, Scarlet Witch, Wasp, Yellowjacket, Beast, Wonder Man, and Captain America in the middle. 

And check out the background, it's classic Perez.  They're facets from a gem of some sort and they show, in detail, a bunch of a faces of others including; Hakwkeye, Jocasta, Agatha Harkness, Two Gun Kid, Whizzer, Thundra, Ultron, Jarvis, Hyperion, Falcon, Quicksilver, Dr. Spectrum, Ant Man, Taskmanster, maybe Dr. Strange.   But they're all, the whole thing, Perez awesomeness.

On this date, in 1940, in Dayton Ohio, Ramon Gerard Antonio Estevez aka Martin Sheen was born!

His acting career has spanned six decades, earning him 3 Emmys, a Golden Globe, 4 Screen Actors Guild awards, and even a Tony nomination.   He narrated many many documentaries and played President Kennedy in the 1983 miniseries "Kennedy".   He's also incidentally, the father of Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez.

He portrayed a liberal president and has the convictions of his real life liberal political positions.  Badass.
