Asking for thoughts and prayers for Grandma Polt. She was admitted to the hospital today after having a very, very, very small stroke. She's talking fine, her memory's fine, she still moves around just as before. The only thing different is small, forgetful things: leaving 5 strips of bacon sit out uncooked overnight; leaving toilet seat up (she NEVER does that); washing clothes and not getting them out of the washer; having the bathroom sink filled to the rim with a washrag just laying in there; that sort of stuff. Plus, she seems a bit disoriented at times when asked to do things.
Luckily, it was a very minor stroke, and luckily she's in the hospital where they can monitor her. They need to run some more tests, which will be done in the next few days. She's a tough old bird. She's going to be 89, I think, this year, and in the last ten years, she's survived a quadruple heart bypass, congestive heart failure, and a cancerous mass in her colon. So if anyone can make it through this, she's the one.
Still, thoughts and prayers never hurt, now do they?

Mojo that she can make a full recovery. It's good they are monitoring her. Keeping her in our thoughts.
Just catching up. I know it is late, but I hope all is well and that she is recuperating as best and as quickly as she can. She will be in my thoughts.
Oh no! You're poor grandma. I'll be thinking of her and sending healing thoughts. Love to you and your family!
