Second Amendment Sanity
So this charts shows mass shootings in the USA since 1982.
That red line is drawn at 2004. You know what happened in 2004? Back in 1994, Clinton and Democratic Congress passed an assault weapons ban. None we confiscated, but none could be bought or sold. And there was 10 deadline for the bills, Congress could reauthorize it for another 10 years at that time if they wanted to. But in 2002, Bush was president and Republicans ran Congress, and since they were all bought and paid for by the NRA, the assault weapons ban expired.
And look what's happened since.
Look at before the red line and after the red line. Compare the data.
But yeah, the NRA and Republicans are probably right....an assault weapons ban wouldn't do anything to stop mass shooting. Nothing at all.
