Okay, so it's the night before the midterms, let's get my predictions down for posterity.  (I am not happy with these predictions and GOD I pray I'm wrong, WAY wrong, but here we go anyway)

In the House I see 25 Democratic seats lost, or withing 2 seat of 25 either way.  That gives the Democrats 199 seats and the Republicans 236 seats.  This means Mike McCarty will be Speaker, although the far right wingnuts of the "Freedom Caucus" will control the show.

In the Senate, I see the Democrats having 49 and the Republicans having 51.  I think Mark Kelly (D) in Arizona is safe.  But that's about it.  I sadly see Fetterman losing here in PA, which means I and all other citizens of my state will have the shame of being represented by TV talk show quack Mehmet Oz.  And I see Hershel Walker defeating Rev. Warnock in Georgia.  Which will at least relieve Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville of being known as the stupidest member of the Senate.

Governorships?  Republicans Abbott in Texas, Kemp in Georgia and Ron DeathSentence in Florida will all keep their jobs, unfortunately.  I refuse to believe that Pennsylvania will elect insane radical Mastriano as Governor over current Attorney General Shapiro, but it does seem unlikely that Democrat Fetterman would lose the Senate election but Democrat Shapiro would win governor. I don't think there's enough people in the state that would split their ballots to vote R for one and D for the other.    But if they DO put Mastriano in the governors mansion, with the Republicans controlling the state legislature, I foresee Pennsylvania becoming a northern Mississippi before the end of next year.

And so there is my very dismal, disappointing and frankly frightening calls for Tuesdays election.  Let's all hope I'm wrong.
