Well Happy St. Patick's Day, everyone! And not only is it St. Patrick's Day, but it's also Mama Polt's birthday. She turns a young and spritely 66 today! I'd say we could all wish her a happy birthday, but as she doesn't read the Palace (thank GOD!), she'd not see them anyway. Course, any birthday wishes mentioned, will be passed along to her.
Also, I've got several special guest stars stopping by to wish you ALL a Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Alan Scott, the first Green Lantern, who first appeared during WWII, so not only is he green and the first, he's more than likely well into his 80's.
Hal Jordan, the second Green Latern, who appearing during the Silver Age of comics in the 60's. He's the original Man Without Fear. Was previously dead (see below), but now back alive.
Guy Gardner, the third Green Lantern...and the most obnoxious.
Jon Stewart, the fourth Green Lantern who was the backup for Hal Jordan, the second Green Lantern, but has become more famous lately due to his membership in the Justice League animated series.
Kyle Raynor, the fifth Green Lantern, who now goes by Ion, and previously dated Jade (see below).
Jennie-Lynn Hayden, aka Jade, the daughter of the First Green Lantern (see above), and one time girlfriend of the Fifth Green Lantern (see above). She's currently dead, but she's here anyways, cause like the second Green Lantern (see above) and the first Green Arrow (see below) who were both dead before but returned to life, she might return.
Oliver Queen, the First Green Arrow, father to the Second Green Arrow (see below) and husband to Black Canary (see the posting on Black named heroes). Had been dead before, but even worse, used to have an Arrow-cave and an Arrow-car. I shit you not.
Connor Hawke, the Second Green Arrow, son of the First Green Arrow (see above). It was previously postulated, but never confirmed, that he's gay. He is. I know he is. He's too cute to be straight.
The Green Giant, whom I know nothing about other than, due to the make of the car on the front and the relative primativeness of the artwork, probably appeared in the 1940's.
The Green Lama, about whom I have absolutely no infomation whatsoever.
Beast Boy, previously known as Changling, previously known as Beast Boy. Garfield Logan was a member of the Doom Patrol as a kid with his adoptive parents Mento and Elasti-Girl (naming superheros in the 1960's was fun!), and then a member of the relauched Teen Titans in 1981. He's again a member of the Teen Titans, only this is the animated manga-like Japanese art version of the team. Ew.
J'onn J'onzz, the Martian Manhunter. Yeah, he's not got green in his name, but as a Martian, he does have the green skin typical of their race. Maybe Mars was settled by the Irish? Oh, and he's currently deceased as well, and buried on Mars itself. But being an alien, and in a comic book, it's probably pretty likely he's got a different metabolism or a second heart, or what have you, and will return.
Beatriz DeCosta, Brazilian Fire. She was formerly known as Green Flame, when he only real power was to shoot green flames out of her nostrils (!!) and propel herself upwards in flight. I suppose all the cool superpowers were taken when they decided to make her. Oh, and as a Brazilian woman, she naturally had boobs bigger than her head and wore a skimpy outfit that barely contained her bulbous womanhood. As all Brazilian women do.
Querl Dox, Brainiac 5 from the Legion of Super Heroes in the 31st century. He's from the planet Colu, where everyone has green skin and blonde hair apparently. He's not go green in his name either like the Martian Manhunter, but he's not showing much skin, unlike the Martian Manhunter. Still, he's wearing a spiffy purple suit, which warrants his inclusion here.
Edward Nigma, the Riddler. I wanted to use a photo of Frank Gershin from the Batman TV series in the nifty green full body suit with question marks all over it, but I wanted to stick to using drawn photos, so I used this one. Looks pretty professional doesn't he? Of course, the purple tie and gloves helped with the decision as well.
So From all my guests, and myself, have the Happiest of St. Patrick's Days. And don't drink too much green beer. Green hangovers suck.

Pass on my best wishes to Mama Polt for an amazing birthday!!
Green Lama (maybe they just forgot the other l? Green Llama?). I like it. Its too bad Green Giant had to give up his crime fighter career to go and run the family farm canning corn. Oh well, not everyone can save the world.
well, with a name like lime.....
wish mama polt a very happy birthday for me.:)
Yes - pass along my "Happy Birthday" as well.
I'm liking Jon Stewart. I'm very impressed with his toe point.
Tam - ha ha : ). And what about Sprout?
Yes wish Mama Polt a happy Birthday for me.
That said, I never went so big for the comics but this was an interesting intro to the green theme.
Being that I'm predominantly Italian, I'll wait for the Festa di San Giuseppe (Aka St. Joseph's Day) tomorrow. Zepoles anyone?
Is it just me, or is that second green lantern picture somewhat arousing?
