Today In The History Of Polt's Comic Book Collection
Today we travel back 33 years, to July 1985, and Marvel's Cloak And Dagger, Volume 2, issue 1.
I've always enjoyed Cloak & Dagger, from their very first appearance in Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #
The storylines in this series were darker than I was used to, but they did battle drug use, and child pornography, and kids being forced into prostitution and other street level 'real world' problems. And plus it was the mid-80's, the start of nearly everything being darker and darker in comics.
Rick Leonardi did the artwork, he had an unusual style which didn't work with every character, but it worked very well with this series.
And plus, there's a live action version somewhere on TV right now, so I'll probably check that out sometime soon.
