Anniversary Avengers
The third member of Cap's Kooky Quartet, we have a long time, and one of my favorite Avengers: The Scarlet Witch.
Wanda Maximoff and her brother were born mutants. Wanda had the ability to alter probabilities, not do actual magic. She could not make the impossible happen (like turning a pencil someone was holding into a snake) but she could make the improbably happen (like making that person drop the pencil). She had limited control over it originally. Like in the example above, to make the person drop the pencil, maybe his hand muscles spasmed, or maybe a car backfired outside and startled him, or maybe a strong wing blew in through the window, or maybe, and earthquake knocked him off balance and he dropped it. She couldn't actually control HOW it happened, she could just increase the probability of him dropping that pencil to 100%.
After a while, she took lessons in magic from Agatha Harkness, and grew proficient in the use of the mystic arts as well. And of course in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she's played by Elizabeth Olsen.
