Today, as drawn by the underappreciate Paul Smith, we have a page from the Marvel Handbook, showing both the original and the NEW Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.
The original was founded by Magneto and made up of Toad, Quicksilver, Scarlet With and Mastermind. Before long, the twins left to join the Avengers, and were replaced by Blob and Unus, and were then years later joined by Lorelei. Eventually, Magneto disbanded the team and went solo.
Then, many years later, Mystique formed the New Brotherhood of Evil Mutants with the lineup you see here: Avalance, Destiny, Pyro and Blob, with Rogue only joining them at a later date. And only for a short while until she left the team and joined the X-Men.
