Anniversary Avengers
Today we have the next Avenger to join, The Falcon. Sam Wilson started as a sidekick to Captain America, but he eventually became a hero in his own right. He became and Avenger not really by his own actions, and not totally with the consent of the Avengers team, because the Federal Government decided if the Avengers were going to keep their special status, they had to follow the guidelines of Federal Rules...which includes diversity hiring. Which is how the Falcon got 'foisted' on the team, although he became a true and valued member of the team.
The Falcon can fly, obviously, and he has a bird sidekick named Redwing. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he is played by Anthony Mackie.
