I remember Hurricane Sandy, like 10-12 year ago, hit New York and New Jersey, and afterwards, a bunch of Congressmen from Texas, other Southern states and of all places, Florida, refused to vote for extra money for hurricane relief.  They never said it, but of course it was because the money was going to blue states. 

But of course, a hurricane has barely touched their states before they're begging the Federal Government for money.
