Badass Birthday
On this date, 80 years ago, in Tennessee, Dolly Parton was born!
Dolly is a world reknown singer, songwriter, businesswoman and actress. She has 11 Grammys, numerous Country Music Awards and several Golden Globe nominations for the movies she's been in. She owns the Dollywood Company which runs several successful entertainment venus.
But she's a badass for her philanthropic work. She runs several charities and, having grown up poor, does countless things annual to help those disadvantaged in society. And as an aside, she's a pretty damn good LGBTQ ally too.
