Badass Birthday
On this date, in 1937 in New Jersey, Jack Nicholson was born.
In my opinion, he's an epitome of badassedness! But don't take my word for it, let's look at some facts:
George Hanson in "Easy Rider"
Robert Dupea in "Five Easy Pieces"
J.J. Gittes in "Chinatown"
Randall McMurry in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"
Jack Torrance in "The Shining"
Garrett Breedlove in "Terms Of Endearment"
Daryl Van Horna in "The Witchs of Eastwick"
The Joker in "Batman"
Colonel Jessup in "A Few Good Men"
Jimmy Hoffa in "Hoffa"
Multiple roles in "Mars Attacks"
Melvin Udall in "As Good As It Gets"
Frank Costello in "The Departed"
And these are just the movies I've heard of. There are a whole host of other movies and TV roles he's had. His movie career spans over 40 years.
He is one of only 7 performs to have won three Oscars in the acting categories, and is the most nominated male performer in the acting categories, with 12. He's also won a Grammy, 6 Golden Globes and 3 BATFAs. And he's done it all with an attitude that's uniquely Jack-Nicholson-esque.
As I said, epitome of badass.
