He's a screenwriter, playwriter and filmmaker, known for his work on the stage, television and film. His work has earned him an Oscar, a BAFTA, 5 Emmys, and 3 Golden Globes. He's been the wrier on such films as A Few Good Men, The American President, The Social Network and Moneyball. He's written and created such TV shows and Sports Night and The Newsroom.
And all that's impressive, yes. But the reason he's a badass is solely because of being the creator and writer of most early season episodes of The West Wing.
Anyone who can create and write THE best drama ever to air on TV certainly qualifies as a badass.
