Proved once again that the obscenely wealthy 1) have skin thinner than wet tissue paper, 2) are totally tone-deaf to public culture, 3) are used to getting their way no matter what and have no issue throwing their money around to get it, and 4) think everyone NOT in their tax bracket is beneath them.
Michael and Susan Dell are none to happy about people making fun of her appearance in the Oval Office. Mr Dell has even threatened to "just buy it and shut it down".
And the awesome satirist Druski mentioned doing a skit about her.
Who knows if Druski meant it when he mentioned it, but now that they've threatened him with legal action (because obviously since he has less money than THEY do, he has no First Amendment Rights) you can bet your last dollar that there WILL now be a skit done. Just to spite them.
See, if this could were just a smidge attuned to the current zeitgeist, if they had just shut up, let the cosplays and the inevitable spoofs occur, in two weeks, it all would have faded away and not been mentioned again.
But now that they've made a HUGE deal about it, it's only gonna get worse. I mean, I saw a Spirit Halloween store somewhere has supposed dressed up on one of their screeching animatronic things like her. And assuredly, they'll sell out.
But since the Dell's have no idea how America works, that it DOENS'T just cowtow to the insane demands of the uber-obscene-right, this going to stay around a lot longer than it otherwise would have. And it'll continue to embarrass, anger, and fluster them.
And as a couple who stood PROUDLY next to the orange shitgibbon before the cameras, I'm so glad it's happening to them. Serves them right.
